Customer Gilera Runner in for some work.

Complete engine strip, vapour blast and rebuild. We also tuned the cylinder and now it’s making a healthy 31hp+, using a stock sized inlet and 30mm through the airbox.

As you can see, a very good example of a Runner OEM+ 👌

NEW IN STOCK – Polini Ignition System for Piaggio/Gilera 125–180 AC/LC

Since the Leonelli ignition was discontinued, there’s been a long wait for a proper off-the-shelf upgraded ignition system for the Piaggio/Gilera 125–180.

The new Polini setup is plug & play, allows adjustment of the ignition timing, and connects directly to the original charging circuit.

A big bonus is the reduced rotating mass too — down from approx. 1200g to 780g, saving 420g / 35%.

Another engine ready for the customer 🔧

This Aprilia SR125 engine came in for stripping, a few repairs and a freshen-up with the vapour blaster before reassembly.

The customer requested all new bushes, bearings and seals, along with a new crankshaft.

We reused the existing cylinder kit and fitted a new piston kit, set the squish, pressure tested everything and it’s good to go. ✅

Piaggio / Gilera MULTILOCK BRACE NUT

One nut. Multiple locking options. Clever design.

Introducing the new WR Multilock Brace Nut, designed for Wilkinson Racing Braces and PM Tunings TSAB (PM987).

🛡️ Stainless-steel construction
🔧 Compatible with 5-bolt hub locking plates
🔩 Compatible with split-pin locking
⚙️ Can be used with both
💡 Clever machined groove for easy locking plate positioning

Unlike a conventional brace nut, where you can slide the locking plate on after fitting and torquing the nut, our Multilock design is specifically engineered for applications where this isn’t possible.

The locking plate can be fitted to the nut first and then rotated into the correct position after the nut has been torqued.

It’s also an ideal solution for drum-brake wheels, where a conventional locking plate isn’t an option without modifying the wheel. In these applications, many people simply rely on Loctite.

No drilling. No reliance on Loctite. Just a purpose-designed locking solution.

Simple solution for anyone with a Sledge Hammer 333 wanting to fit the BGM/MB manifold rubber.

These are a good manifold rubber but are designed for M8 screws, so using an M6 screw through the 8mm hole isn’t ideal, something I’ve seen done many times with these manifolds.

The simple solution we came up with is the use of a Piaggio stepped screw. It has an 8mm shank to properly centre and fill the 8mm hole, then steps down to an M6 thread.

They’re available in both Phillips and Torx head options.

Simple fix, proper fit. 👍🔧

Adams fully loaded Runner – 38HP+. 🚀

The owner built the majority of the bike. We built and tuned the engine, supplied and fitted F37 forks and 8.1 4-pot calipers, sorted a few other bits along the way, then finished it off with a full dyno setup.

Definitely a top-level example of a Runner. 👌

Can’t believe how many of you were ready to take them off my hands 👀

Got me thinking…

Those who know me know this isn’t something I’d ever rush into.

I’ve been going back and forth on it for a while, but I think the time’s come to step away and move a few things on.

I’ll be putting 6 race scooters up for sale, and working through some of my road scoots over the next few weeks.

Not an easy decision at all, racing’s been a massive part of my life for years, but sometimes you’ve got to be realistic with where things are at.
