Book your official DVSA practical driving test for cars from £62, or other types of practical driving tests, including motorcycle and driving instructor tests

We have published the full report for the consultation on improving the rules for booking a driving test.

The outcome of the consultation means that:
- only learner drivers will be able to book and manage car driving tests
- learner drivers will be limited to making up to 2 changes to their test in total
- tests will only be able to be moved to driving test centres within a certain geographical area of the original booking

These changes will be introduced from spring 2026.
