Now this was a frightener!!!

Toyota GT86 came in for some spark plugs. The customer then asked us to look for the cause of a rattle at the rear. On the ramp we found nothing underneath to suggest the cause. Whilst looking over the suspension, i just happened to bang on a tyre to see if it would make a noise..... and it did. We discovered it was the brakes. On further inspection, we were shocked to find what we did!!!!

The vehicle had been into another workshop over a year before, for a brakes upgrade. The mechanic had removed the brakes but failed to notice that they had removed vented discs and were fitting solid discs 🤦

The pictures show just how far away from complete brake failure this car was!!! Less than 1mm of pad backing was left holding the pad in it's carrier!! 😲

We are Clacton Tyre and Service Centre. Formally known as Clacton Exhaust and Tyres.

On Thursday 19th of June, my wife Claire and I took over Clacton Exhaust and Tyre Centre. A long established and well known tyre and exhaust garage.

Our aim is to provide Clacton and surrounding areas with an unrivalled service for all your vehicular needs.

We hold a large stock of tyres... in house. More than most local fast fit centres.

We provide all manner of services for your car or van.

Brakes
Clutches
MOT and repairs
Welding
Exhausts

We are also Auto Electrical and Air conditioning specialists. Providing both services to the public and trade.

We will soon be able to offer Hybrid and EV assistance also.

Clacton Exhaust and Tyres were very well known for it's tyre and exhaust services..... but we need to let you all know that we do so much more.

Today, Saturday 24th is the end of our 1st week trading...... we have to say a HUGE thank you to all our customers that visited us. You all showed us a huge appreciation and were so very welcoming.

We even scored a 10/10 recommendation already on google !

We look forward to seeing you and will endeavour to provide you with a service beyond your expectations.
