Another transit custom engine saved! Wasn't going to last much longer and would of had a huge repair bill if it had been left to snap!

Only booked in as I advised customer that it was likely it hadnt been replaced and cant take chances.

How right was i! And both glad we booked it in now 🙌

Transit custom full wet belt kit and full service carried out!

130k miles and chain never been done.
Chain guide broke and chain went slack!

Full new chain kit fitted..
New chain guides.
New chain oil squirter.
New chain sprockets, camshaft reluctor.
New chain tensioner.
New cover seal.
Front main oil seal replaced.
Engine locked and timed up properly.
Sump, oil pick up tube all removed and cleaned.
Upper and lower sump re sealed.
Oil and filter changed..
Antifreeze replaced.
Camshaft timing final adjustment done ✔️

Sounds quiet as a mouse now! Do another 130k miles now.

Uprated valve stem seals with built in retainers.
Full cambelt kit replaced.
Waterpump and antifreeze replaced.
Unfortunately upon strip down it was found that previous mechanic decided to leave me a gift and round the cambelt tensioner bolt off so couldn't undo 🤦‍♂️😫 tensioner ground down, removed and bolt then removed and replaced 👌

Second Opinion Saves the Day 🔧

A vehicle came in from a dealer for a £75 visual health inspection and second opinion. We spotted a potentially bent suspension arm and a front nearside tyre fitted incorrectly, hiding visible sidewall damage.

We also carried out a full diagnostic scan using our Snap-on diagnostic scanning tool to check for any underlying faults.

The customer returned to the dealer, and the repairs are being covered under warranty — potentially saving thousands in repair costs and a whole lot of hassle.

£75 well spent for peace of mind and confidence back on the road. 🚗✅
