Built from measurements and photographs of Birkin’s original, taken with Bentley’s approval. It’s on an original 1924 3 Litre chassis, with a supercharged 4½ Litre engine and over 2,000 test miles.

1924 Bentley 4½ Litre ‘Birkin Blower’

A recreation of the most famous Bentley of them all, built using measurements and photographs of Birkin’s original Team Car No. 2, taken with Bentley’s permission.

It’s on an original 1924 3 Litre chassis, with the same short wheelbase as Birkin’s car. It runs a supercharged 4½ Litre engine, has a new D-Type gearbox and drives superbly.

The Classic Motor Hub are delighted to announce the sale of the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Semi-Competition, chassis 2177GT.

This SWB is one of the most original in existence. With its matching-numbers engine, gearbox and body, it has an extremely well documented history and ownership, which leave no question marks as to its originality and provenance from when it was sold new in Switzerland and immediately pressed into competitive action.

Finished in its beautiful and original Rosso Rubino colour, like all important and special cars it has travelled extensively during its exciting sixty six years, and it has been a great pleasure to handle its sale for a second time from our Cotswolds showroom.

1956 Cooper T39 Bobtail

Race-ready and fully sorted. Significant investment since 2023 has gone into its preparation by Classic Autos, including an engine rebuild in 2024 and a gearbox rebuild by Crosthwaite & Gardiner, with just one Le Mans Classic and one Goodwood Revival since. FIA HTP papers are valid until 2030, making it desirable for the Goodwood Revival, Le Mans Classic, Monterey Rolex Reunion and the MRL Woodcote and Stirling Moss Trophies.

The history is just as strong. Ex-Joe Lubin, raced in period by Bob Drake, it won on its debut at Palm Springs in 1956, beating an ex-works Le Mans Porsche 550RS and Maseratis. Further wins followed at Pomona, Paramount Ranch, Santa Barbara and Riverside, with some memorable battles against Ken Miles.

Lubin kept it for over fifty years. Original chassis and bodywork retained, still in the white and blue American racing colours it wore with Drake.
