We are looking for a conscientious, logical individual who is capable of working within a team.

Role will include

Race preparation
Repairing cars
On event support.

There will be travelling and weekend working involved.

He pulled it out the bag!

Unfortunately we have not been able to kart for a couple of months, as racing has taken over, but he was desperate to do his ARKs license. The MSUK agreed he could do it at 5, so we made the trip up to Fulbeck this weekend.

We hoped he would be within 10% of the average lap time to pass. The morning sessions were hard work, lots of laps off the pace and a few spins, we had resided ourselves to him taking the test another day.

Well, Ollie and dad sat down with a track plan and pen, a long conversation later and Ollie decides to set the fastest laps, win his heats and win the final for the rookie bambino’s.

Oh he passed his ARKs too!!

A really nice set of ‘moments’!!

Really nice to catch up with Matt, Milo, Scott and Jenson.

UPDATE

Mike is remains in ITU under observation, he is stable and responding well.

We are aware that lots of you wish to send cards. Logistically Mike is going to struggle to display them all. We are going to put a ‘get well soon’ book together, if you would like to contribute to this please either send your message on a piece of paper to:

UPDATE.

Mike has personally called us this morning from ITU, he is amazingly in good spirits.

We can confirm that he has suffered multiple fractures: ankle; three pelvic fractures, six ribs, collar bone and thumb. He also has a punctured lung.

At this stage he is stable.

He has suggested that we cancel the entry to GT Cup Donnington, as he may not be on form!

Once again we would like to thank everyone for their support at this difficult time.

It is important that we recognise the roles played by so many yesterday in creating this more positive outcome. A special thank you to Ginetta Cars, the marshals, doctors, paramedics, extraction team, Hampshire air ambulance team, Southampton Hospital and all of the Race teams that offered their support.

We all understand the inherent dangers of racing but days like yesterday bring it home. However the collective support is also unrivalled in these situations and yesterday was testament to that!

Ultimate Speed would like to thank all of the marshals, medics, and Ginetta personnel at Thruxton Race Circuit.

As many of you are now aware Mike Brown was involved in an accident during the Ginetta Super Cup Race. He has been air lifted to Hospital and is awaiting full assessment. At this stage we are unable to comment further.

Ollie has spent the last two days having some intensive training. He has had everything from cones to avoid, weaving exercises, flag training to cones being thrown across the track as he approaches. All designed to check his reactions and his understanding of the track rules.

Could not be prouder of this little man.
His driving has changed so much already and he has been driving less than a month!! He is 5, crazy!

He is all cleared to join the bambino’s and cadets on the main track for Saturday.

Mummy is also managing to take him to some coaching sessions on her own! Thank you to everyone who helps once they arrive. Rye House Kart Raceway . Even managed to purchase the correct track rod!
