🚦 RED LIGHT… BUT DON’T STOP! 🚗
Here’s Evie tackling a filter junction, and it’s a really important bit of knowledge every learner and other road users needs to understand.
When you’re waiting in the middle of a filter junction to turn right, once you’ve entered legally and are waiting for a safe gap, the traffic lights may change back to red.
BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOU STOP AND WAIT! 👀
If you’ve already moved into the junction and are waiting to complete your turn, you need to make sure you clear the junction when the traffic light goes back to red and when it’s safe to do so.
Why? Because traffic from the other direction will be getting a green light and wanting to move across your path.
🚗 Don’t panic.
🚗 Don’t hesitate unnecessarily.
🚗 Keep checking for oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
🚗 Complete your turn safely and clear the junction.
Remember, the key is knowing when to wait and when it’s safe to commit!
