🏁 “Race prepped” should mean ready for scrutiny.

While inspecting this race car, we found some very unsafe harness mounting eyes that needed putting right before it went back on track.

These videos show what we found before the repairs. We’ve since removed the unsafe mounts and redone them properly.

Harness mounting points are a critical part of your safety equipment. A harness is only as secure as what it’s attached to, and simply being fitted doesn’t mean it’s fitted correctly.

Whether you’ve just bought a track car or you’re preparing for your next event, a thorough inspection can uncover issues you really don’t want to discover on circuit.

📩 Get in touch with JWS MotorWorks for track preparation and pre-event inspections.

BMW G42 M240i in for an Eventuri upgrade!

This stunning G42 M240i was with us to have the Eventuri carbon fibre intake system fitted — and what a difference it makes under the bonnet.

As well as looking absolutely incredible, the Eventuri system is designed to improve airflow to the B58 while giving the car a much more aggressive induction sound when you put your foot down. 👌

✅ Eventuri Carbon Intake
✅ Increased airflow
✅ Improved induction sound
✅ Huge visual upgrade in the engine bay
✅ Perfect addition to the B58 platform

If you’re looking to upgrade your G42 M240i, G20/G21 M340i or other B58-powered BMW, get in touch with the team at JWS Motorworks for supply, fitting and tuning options.

WE’RE AWARD WINNERS!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that JWS MotorWorks has been named Best Independent British & German Vehicle Performance Specialist 2026 at the Midlands Enterprise Awards 2026!

This is a huge achievement for the whole team and something we’re genuinely proud of. Over the years we’ve worked hard to keep developing JWS, investing in better equipment, expanding our workshop and continually improving the level of service we offer.

From servicing and diagnostics through to performance upgrades, tuning, track preparation and our in-house dyno work, our aim has always been simple — do the job properly and give our customers a service we can be proud of.

A massive thank you to our brilliant team, our suppliers and partners, and most importantly every customer who has trusted us with their car and supported JWS MotorWorks along the way.

With our expansion into a second unit and plenty more planned for the future, 2026 is turning into a pretty special year for us. 💚

Thank you for being part of the journey — this one means a lot!

A MINI with a purpose that goes far beyond racing. 💚🏁

We welcomed Kev from STS Racing—Suicide to Success Racing—to JWS MotorWorks to hear the story behind the team and help prepare their MINI for Race of Remembrance.

With a health check, an AIRTEC oil cooler and dyno testing, we’re proud to play a small part in helping them reach the finish line. 🔧

Here’s a short look at their story. Watch the full conversation with Kev to hear how motorsport has supported his recovery and how STS Racing is helping other veterans get involved.

Thank you, Kev, for sharing your story and trusting us with the MINI. 👏

🇬🇧 Something a little different in the workshop today… Morgan Aero!

We had this absolutely stunning Morgan Aero with us today for its routine servicing and maintenance.

It might be a little different from our usual BMWs and MINIs, but with a BMW V8 under the bonnet, it’s certainly right at home here at JWS!

These are seriously special cars — unmistakable styling, loads of character and that fantastic V8 soundtrack. It’s not every day you get to see one up close, let alone have one in the workshop.

All serviced, checked over and ready for plenty more miles!

What a brilliant day at MINI National Day!

We had a fantastic time at the show today, surrounded by some incredible cars and a great MINI community. A massive thank you to the organisers for all the work that went into putting on such a great event — the atmosphere throughout the day was brilliant.

It was especially good to catch up with familiar faces and meet so many new people. Thank you to everyone who took the time to come over, have a chat, talk cars, ask questions and find out more about what we do at JWS MotorWorks. Your support really does mean a lot to us! 🙌

Events like this are a great reminder of why we enjoy being part of the BMW & MINI community so much.

Thanks again to everyone who made the day what it was. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

One of our personal favourites here at JWS… the OG BMW M2

There’s just something about these cars — compact, rear-wheel drive, plenty of character and still one of the best-looking M cars BMW has produced!

This stunning example was with us for some routine maintenance and a small brake upgrade:

* Minor Service
* MOT
* Ferodo DS2500 rear brake pads
* Brake Fluid Change

The Ferodo DS2500s are a great upgrade over a standard road pad, offering improved bite and temperature performance while still being perfectly usable on the road — ideal for a fast road car like the M2.

Nothing crazy needed this time, just keeping a very nice OG M2 maintained, performing as it should and ready to be enjoyed!
