Be aware of the changes in speed limits.... look for your signs and any other indication of the legally posted limit.

Three weeks ago we told you about the new generation cameras that detect not only if a vehicle goes through a red light, but also when a motorist is speeding.

Over a thousand motorists have already been caught speeding by the camera on the A41, Long Lane in Upton, Chester – with some speeds clocking in excess of 50mph.

The speed limit on this road is 30mph. It is 30 for a reason.

This section of road has seen 49 collisions in the past five years that have resulted in somebody being injured, and is a stretch of road that commonly sees motorists travelling at excess speed.

Speeding is a well-known contributory factor in fatal collisions. These cameras are not there to catch you out, they are there to reduce your speed and ultimately - keep you, and other road users safe.
