One of the artisan businesses here at the farm is The Oak & Stone Co — makers of bespoke and standard signs, plaques and date stones, all deeply engraved in natural and dry‑cast stone.

Browse their range of handcrafted signs online at https://oakandstonecompany.co.uk/ in both standard and bespoke sizes, or get in touch if you’d like something unique. If you’re local to Chester, you’re always welcome to call in for a chat — every design is confirmed with a clear 2D drawing before it’s made.
Any questions please message The Oak & Stone Co direct @ [email protected]

Here are a few examples of the beautiful pieces they’ve created for customers across the UK mainland.

Looking for a custom piece? Email [email protected] for a no‑obligation quote and drawing — they’d love to help.

Coming to stay at the farm in the near future? Engage with nature and bird watching with a birding app, there are many available but we use the Merlin app when walking around the farm, It’s free and very addictive, in a good way.
Walk and sit around in our re wilding areas with a birding app on and you will be amazed what is around you, we are truly blessed with the number of bird species around the farm and here’s some app captures from previous weeks.
Also a pic and video of two residents, our barn owl chick ringed, recorded and returned to the nesting box by the Broxton Barn Owl group in our on going conservation effort to increase the numbers of this beautiful bird which to date now totals over 30 Owl raised in our Barn Owl boxes over the years and a photo of a top predator a Sparrow Hawk that decided it was going to roost in one of our barns no doubt in search of the Barn Swallows.
If you want to come and experience nature here for yourself you can always book online to bring your caravan, tent or even stay in our Shepherd hut, It’s a great time to stay and immerse yourself in nature, also on site is our very popular Antique centre, Café and Deli and of course our fortnightly makers market re starting Sat 5th July
