Torqued up the sump bolts on the 347 Pontiac motor this evening. They need to be at 12lb/ft or 16 NM. Not one of them was any more than finger tight. With most of them, the ratchet would not work!

On Thursday 2nd April, my daughter, Gemma, and I were out in the Avion down by the River Dee in Chester just enjoying the good weather. A guy in a Jaguar reversed into the tail of the Avion. He ignored my shouts and those of pedestrians and just drove off. We got photos and reported him to the police. I now have his details and have made an insurance claim.

Damage is a deep gouge in the tail. Hope to get it repaired soon, in time for the show season.

Stage 1 of the Powerglide install. Floors, shifter and clutch cables out, radiator and supports removed. Will disconnect the wiring and plumbing this weekend. Will pull the engine before Xmas.
