🔧💙 SATURDAY SHENANIGANS AT SPEED INDUSTRIES! 😂

After yesterday’s battle with the BMW, a clutch, flywheel and what felt like the entire British weather system… 🌧️😂 This morning, the BMW had its final checks before being safely delivered back to its owner! 🚗💨

Time to put his feet up? ABSOLUTELY NOT! 🤣

Jason’s already getting ahead of Tuesday’s job, putting our trusty hydraulic press to work pressing in a brand-new wheel bearing and hub! 🔧💪 Because apparently, having a Saturday off is illegal in Jason’s world. 🙄😂

A little preparation now means less messing around on the day, and more time getting our customers back on the road! 🫶🏼

🌧️🔧 RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY… JASON’S GOT A CLUTCH TO CHANGE TODAY! 😂

Yesterday’s forecast? ☔️ Battering downpours, with a 100% chance of Jason questioning his career choices! 🤣

While most people were hiding indoors with a cuppa, Jason was battling the British weather to replace a clutch AND flywheel on a BMW! 🚗💪🏼 And for those who don’t speak fluent mechanic… this isn’t a five-minute job! 👀

We’re talking gearbox out, old clutch and flywheel removed, new components fitted and everything carefully put back together again! 🔧

All whilst Mother Nature decided Jason needed a free shower. 🚿😂 Who needs a heated workshop when you’ve got determination, experience and a questionable amount of stubbornness?! 🤣

🚨🚨 STOLEN BMW M2 – TARVIN! PLEASE SHARE! 🚨🚨

We’re absolutely gutted to share that one of our customers has had their beautiful blue BMW M2 stolen from outside their home on Hockenhull Crescent, Tarvin. 💔

📍 Location: Hockenhull Crescent, Tarvin
📅 Date: Friday 16th October
⏰ Time: Between 19:00–19:20hrs
🚙 Vehicle: Blue BMW M2
🔢 Original Registration: LP67 ZXE

⚠️ Police believe the number plates may have already been swapped, so please keep an eye out for the vehicle itself rather than just the registration!

🚨 POSSIBLE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY 🚨

A white van has reportedly been seen driving past the area multiple times. We don’t know whether it’s connected, but we’d urge anyone who noticed anything unusual to come forward.

🏡 If you live in Tarvin or the surrounding areas, PLEASE BE VIGILANT!

📹 Check your CCTV, Ring doorbells and dashcam footage, particularly around the time of the theft. Even the smallest detail could help!

🔧🚐 YESTERDAY’S SHENANIGANS… Another day, another adventure for Jason and the garage on wheels! 💨

🚐 Ford Transit Connect: A new driveshaft was on the menu! But once Jason started stripping everything down, the hub and wheel bearing decided they wanted replacing too. 🙃 Because why would a job ever be straightforward?! 😂

🚙 Nissan Pathfinder: Time to play detective! 🕵️‍♂️ A diagnostic check revealed a faulty ABS sensor. Mystery solved! 🔍

🚘 Mercedes: In for a service & diagnostic because the dashboard was doing its best impression of a Christmas tree! 🎄✨ Turns out there’s a fault with the driver’s seatbelt buckle. Who knew something so small could cause such a festive display?! 😂

🏎️ And finally… EDNA THE EVO! 💙

After a busy day fixing everyone else’s cars, it was time to collect our very own Edna, ready for her MOT this morning! Nothing like being a mechanic and having to cross your fingers for your OWN car! 🤞😂 (Joking we know they OK)

🔧🛢️ HOUSTON, WE HAVE AN OIL LEAK! 😂

Another day, another car. This time, Jason was tackling a leaking rocker cover! Now, for those who don’t speak fluent mechanic… 👨‍🔧

The rocker cover sits at the top of your engine, and its gasket creates a seal to keep the engine oil where it belongs. When that seal starts to fail, oil can escape and cause a few problems! 👀

🛢️ Oil leaking down the engine
👃 That lovely burning oil smell (not a Yankee Candle fragrance we’d recommend!)
💨 Smoke if oil reaches hot engine components
💸 Potentially expensive repairs if oil levels drop too low!

Off came the rocker cover, giving us a lovely view of the engine’s internals. Jason’s idea of sightseeing! 😂

And here’s something worth knowing… 💡

An oil leak doesn’t always leave a puddle on your driveway! Oil can slowly seep out, collect around the engine or burn off on hot components without you ever noticing a drop on the floor. So, if your car smells like it’s cooking something it shouldn’t be, or you’re constantly topping up your oil, don’t ignore it! 👀

🔧 A small leak today could become a much bigger bill tomorrow!

During its recent service inspection, Jason spotted that the track rod ends needed replacing! 👀 So, a fresh set of track rod ends AND a new clutch spring for the Corsa! ✅

Another perfect example of why a service is so much more than just an oil and filter change! 👏 Cars love keeping secrets… luckily, Jason’s pretty good at finding them. 😂🔍

🔧 MECHANIC BY TRADE… DETAILER BY ACCIDENT! 😂✨

Jason’s been branching out this week… apparently fixing cars wasn’t enough, he’s now offering beauty treatments! 💅🏼🤣

This Lexus, the headlights were so cloudy they were practically predicting rain! ☁️🌧️ With its MOT approaching, Jason got to work giving them a much-needed makeover.

✨ From foggy to fabulous!
💡 Better light output and visibility.
🚗 One less potential MOT headache!

Before anyone asks… NO, Jason isn’t taking bookings for a full valet. He’s got enough on his plate! 😂 Just another day at Speed Industries, where apparently we’re mechanics, electricians, therapists and now detailers too! 💙
