Episode 6 of Campervan Questions Answered. Is solar a worthwhile investment when designing your campervan?

Five years ago, solar was more of a helpful top-up — useful for keeping your leisure battery charged, but not something you would necessarily rely on for your everyday electrical needs.

Today, better and more efficient panels, combined with much larger lithium batteries and smarter power-management systems, mean a well-designed campervan can generate and store enough electricity to run lights, fridges, heating, laptops, TVs and more without hooked up at a campsite.

This means much greater freedom to go off-grid for days at a time. And you WILL need your shower and toilet in this circumstance - after last weeks controversial topic!

This week, we’re talking about one of the biggest customer regrets…

What’s the feature customers are often really keen to have when designing their campervan, but can end up hardly using?

The shower cubicle. 🚿

Many campervan owners find themselves staying on campsites with excellent toilet and shower facilities far more often than they originally expected. Which means that shower cubicle can potentially become valuable space that’s not being used to its full potential.

But, as always, the VanGoff boys have a clever solution…

If you do opt for a shower cubicle, there are ways to make that space work much harder for you.

This week’s question: Why choose a bespoke campervan instead of an off-the-shelf motorhome?
