The then Phoenix Green Garage proprietor L. T. C. Rolt looks over a Vauxhall 30-98.

The garage at that time was known as ‘The home of the 30-98 Vauxhall’ mainly because the adjoining Phoenix Inn proprietor Tim Carson was a great 30-98 enthusiast and regularly campaigned his cars at various competitive events including Brooklands.
