Hello, I’m Gemma from Gem’s Horsebox Hire.

I fell in love with horses when I was about 5 years old, learning to ride in the beautiful Epping Forest.

In my early teens, I was lucky enough to own my first pony, Montana which was a lovely Palomino. My next pony was Hennie, a fiery Arab cross. We enjoyed schooling, Jumping and of course hacking through Epping Forest.

I have always had a soft spot for horses, but when I lost my beloved Hennie I couldn’t find myself owning another horse.

Many years later the Covid lockdown of 2020 came, this made me think about what I was missing and what I really wanted in my life …… HORSES!

I now loan a beautiful thoroughbred mare that I’m able to take to shows, competitions and schooling clinics and even the beach.

But the thing I found frustrating was arranging transportation, so instead of buying another horse, to the delight of my husband, I invested in a horsebox.

The horsebox has opened up my world and that of my horsey friends.
