The 20-week reality check. 🛑🚗

The latest DVSA statistics have been published, and the headline figure is a tough one for the industry: the national average wait time is currently 20.2 weeks.

While the median wait is being reported as 11.1 weeks, we know that for many ADIs and pupils, the struggle to find slots is still very real.

The silver lining? Pass rates have crept up to 52.1%, suggesting that when learners do get to the test, they are better prepared.

The launch of Driving Schools Online marks another step toward the digitisation of driver training. This new platform offers bite-sized, video-based modules that learners can access on their phones - perfect for the TikTok generation!

🚨 A wake-up call for road safety. 🚨

The latest figures from TyreSafe show a 19% increase in serious casualties due to tyre defects in the last year. It’s a tough stat to read, but it highlights just how vital our role is as ADIs in teaching the next generation of drivers that maintenance is just as important as car control. 🚗💨

We know that for our Dualdrive family, safety is always the priority. While the legal limit is 1.6mm, we don't think "legal" is always "safest."

That’s why we replace tyres on our dual-controlled cars at 3mm. It’s about giving you and your pupils that extra grip and confidence, especially as the seasons change.
