Even though we’re heading towards Winter, it’s still a really good idea to have your air-conditioning changed. It really helps de-mist your car in the winter. Recommended to be changed every three years.

This year we will be closing the garage over the Christmas period, to give our staff some well needed time off.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible person with excellent customer service skills. Motor trade/garage experience is necessary. You must be able to work under pressure and must have outstanding communication and organisational skills. You will be the first point of contact for our customers and will manage the busy work flow for our small team of technicians. The role involves dealing with MOT, servicing and repair appointments, ordering parts, organising the workshop diary, quoting for and answering telephone inquiries, reporting faults and findings back to customers and explaining work needed, manning the reception desk, liaising with suppliers and mechanics, invoicing customers, data entry, parts ordering. The applicant should be computer literate and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Hours of work

Covering 2 days 8.00 - 5.00

Saturdays 8.00 - 12.30

Salary is negotiable depending on experience

JOB VACANCY: EXPERIENCED FAST FIT TECHNICIAN

We need YOUR excellent customer service and fast fit skills (because WE have excellent customers. Lots of them).

We’re looking for a highly experienced fast fit technician to work in our very busy garage. Cheadle Tyre and Auto is a family-run company with an excellent reputation locally. We’ve been here nearly twenty years, and our customers come back again and again. That means it’s a great place to work - and a lot of responsibility to look after our customers’ cars well.

To join our happy team, not only will you need those excellent customer service skills and first-class mechanic talents, but a can-do attitude and a cracking work ethic. Day-to-day duties will include:
• Tyre fitting
• Tyre repairs
• Wheel alignment
• Brakes
• Suspension work
• Exhausts
• Light service work.
Own tools and a clean driving licence would be an advantage. Salary will depend on experience, in the region of £25,000-£30,000 and normal hours are 8.00-5.00 Mon-Fri and 8.00-12.00 Sat.

We’ll look after you every bit as well as we look after our customers - we want you to enjoy coming to work. Other benefits include a pension, loyalty bonus, and your birthday as an extra day off.

This tyre was taken of a car that was manufactured in 20008 and as you can see by the month and date on the tyre that is the original tyre fitted on the car from new.

Although the tread is still good there is a big crack all the way round the tyre making it very dangerous.

The British standard replacement date is 7-10 years old so please have a look at your tyres and if not sure nip down and we will do a free safety check.
