Lauren & Aaron’s 11-Day Trip to Switzerland 🇨🇭

Pre-Trip – Pub Stopover 🇬🇧

The night before our trip officially started, we stayed overnight at The Valiant Sailor, a pub stopover, ready for our early start the following morning.

It was a convenient place to stop only being 15 minutes from the Euro Tunnel, allowing us to have a relaxed evening and get an early night before our 7:30am crossing into France.

Day 1 – Euro Tunnel to Luxembourg 🇱🇺

We started our Swiss adventure with our 7:30am Euro Tunnel crossing. After arriving in France, we drove around 4½ hours to Camping Kockelscheuer in Luxembourg.

The campsite was a perfect stopover as it was not far off our route. It also had a free bus into Luxembourg City, taking around 25 minutes, so we spent the afternoon exploring the city and enjoying dinner out. The bus was even dog friendly.

The campsite had clean toilet and shower facilities and a play park, making it a great option for families too.

Meet Phil, well the back of him anyway! 🤭

Phil’s one of the workshop team dealing with the habitation side of things, he’s also quite a dab hand on the sewing machine. 🧵

Apparently he’s camera shy, so I had to get a quick action shot of him as I walked past doing some interior re-finishing work. 💺

He also enjoys singing in the workshop, so it’s bliss when he goes out to work in his little sewing room… 🤫
