Massive congratulations to Millie for passing her test 1st try in Bury St Edmunds today.

Millie and her family sent up the distress call for someone to help as her instructor was no longer available to take Millie to test.
My amazing students were brilliant, helped me make enough space to support Millie and her family today ❤️

I was very impressed with Millie's calm attitude to what could have been quite a stressful situation. This showed through her driving, very cool, calm and collected.

Examiner was surprised that today was the 1st time of having driven Pete the Pidgeon Coloured Puma 🚗

Again well done.

Massive congratulations to Vicky Jeffries for passing her driving test in fabulous style today with only 1 Fault in Bury st Edmunds.

Its been a long time coming. You can finally get off those 2 wheels 🏍 and start driving 4 🚗 especially in this crazy weather.

1st Time Pass for Caitlyn Jenner at Peterborough today with an AMAZING 2x driving faults.

Caitlyn came to me a few months ago, having had some previous experience with another instructor. This didn't work out and wanted someone to give her some confidence and build her up instead of knocking her down.

Well the proof is in the results. Absolutely smashing her test and receiving some very nice compliments from the examiner 👏🏼

Caitlyn has been an exemplary student, and has really worked hard to install all the little tips and skills we talked about in lesson.

What a journey Karla has been on 😭

Karla on and off has been in some way or another working on passing her driving test since she was 18 And 'today' after lots of love from her friends, tears in the car, support from her family and some not so gentle pushing from me 💪 has only gone and passed her flipping driving test 😍

HUGE Congratulations to Liam Buck for passing his driving test 1st attempt with me.

Liam came to me in a bit of a panic as his test was literally around the corner and was in desperate need of an instructor to finish his training off.

Literally worst nightmare for instructors 🤦
After an assessment Liam showed a real understanding of how to drive safely, but just had a few misunderstandings / misconceptions about gears, clutching and lane discipline.

A few tweaks and boom 💥
He shoots he scores 🥅

A lovely lad and I wish him all the best of luck on the road.

Huge Congratulations to Sama Yildirim and his regular instructor for passing his driving test 1st time in Shrewsbury 👏🏼

Sama came to me having his driving test already booked in a place he no longer lives so he couldn't complete regular lessons with his instructor.

We worked hard together to build his self confidence and tidy up the rough edges on his skills.

Sama travelled miles to meet with me on several occasions, listened to everything, Worked very hard to implement it and it all paid off with a 1st time pass 🎊

Some aweful weather conditions over the next couple of days..

A few tips for you all.

💡The Auto lights setting on your car doesn't necessarily mean your lights are on. If it is bright enough the system may not turn on your lights making you nearly invisible from behind.

So switch it to Dipped Beam and make sure you can be seen..

Space !
I have no doubt on the road today, i will see hundreds of motorists sitting right up the backside of the vehicle infront endangering themselves and the passengers on the vehicle ahead.
We must leave a 4 sec (or more) gap to the vehicle ahead to ensure you and your tyres have a chance of stopping if the worst was to happen. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

🛞 Check your tyre tread
As you all know, the grooves in your tyres are to handle water on the road.
The less the tread the less water your car can handle..
So if your tyres are close to the limit consider changing them early to cope with the disgusting weather more safely.

Lastly, many of us drive with one hand and in good can be perfectly safe.
However the side winds and water in the road and hidden dips and potholes can sn**ch the wheel all of a sudden or push your car all of a sudden.

Hold the wheel securely with 2 hands to increase your likelihood of controlling the situation.

Another one bites the dust !!

The amazing Nataliia passed her driving test today in her own car as I unfortunately wasn't available.
But sailed through with a tiny handful of Driving faults.

It just goes to show despite being unsuccessful in the past, gritting your teeth and working hard will always save the day 👏🏼

Are you paying a licenced driving instructor for lessons?

There is a strict training and qualification process to become a driving instructor due the vital role we play on creating safe drivers and the high risk environment we train our learners, in addition the risk we could potentially pose to other road users.

All trainee and qualified driving instructors will have either a pink or green badge in the windscreen if you are unsure you can ask to see it, it should be in the windscreen of the vehicle and you can also check in the dvsa website.
