Early start today was worth it for Jack who passed his test at Pontefract DTC on his first attempt with just 1 driver fault this morning.
Great result Jack, well done on the hard work and concentration you applied today. Chuffed to bits for ya mate, looking forward to seeing what car you get ( and where ya park it ! ) 🙂

Sorry I was out when you called Gabs, would have loved to say thank you in person, hope the phone call was OK instead.

Congratulations to Gabby who passed her driving test at the first attempt at Pontefract DTC this morning with just a handful of driver faults.
Well done Gabby, you kept your concentration up and the examiner said there was some good driving during the test and despite the rubbish weather, for you ( and me ) it’s a “lovely day” !
It’s been a pleasure to teach you, look forward to seeing you driving around in your lovely Ibiza….. don’t forget to wave when we pass 🙂👋 x

Massive congratulations go to Charlotte who passed her driving test at Pontefract DTC on her first attempt today ! 👏🏻

Only two small driver faults recorded during what the Driving Examiner described as a “great little drive” ! 🚗

It’s been great to help you through your journey Charlotte, you were a pleasure to teach and took all instructions on board really well and progressed quickly and without fuss 🙂
Just go steady now for the first few months in your Fiat as now is when your driver learning curve steepens massively … oh and don’t forget to wave / flash your lights / beep your horn when we pass !

Here's our TOP TIP – get to know the M.S.P.S.L. routine! ✅

M – Mirror 🪞
Check your mirrors before changing speed or direction. Remember mirrors in pairs – interior mirror first, followed by the appropriate door mirror.

S – Signal ➡️
Let other road users know what you're planning to do. Signal clearly and in good time.

P – Position 🚗
Move into the correct position on the road to prepare for your turn.

S – Speed 🏁
Adjust your speed to suit the situation and select the appropriate gear.

A handy learner tip: walking pace = 1st gear, jogging pace = 2nd gear (when appropriate).

L – Look 👀
Check the road ahead and into the new road. Keep scanning for hazards before, during, and after your turn.

💡 MSPSL won't work exactly the same way at every junction or turn, but it's a brilliant routine to help new drivers build safe habits and confidence behind the wheel.

So lucky to have such lovely pupils( yet again ! ), things like this are very humbling ☺️
Just had a visit from Liv with this thank you card and collection of gifts, including my favourite whiskey and chocolate ! A fantastic card ( modesty is a virtue ya know ! 🤣 ) with some lovely compliments, thank you so much.
Of course I’ll miss your company but so pleased that you reached your goal. Now get rid of those “P” plates !! 🤣 x

Fantastic result for Liv this morning, passing her test at Pontefract DTC with just 3 driver faults and a comment from the Examiner of “a good drive”
Super proud of your result Liv, there was never any doubt in my mind about this result, you have proven to be a competent and safe driver with a good understanding of the car and the road system !
Many thanks to Mum and Dad for the extra hours of tuition they’ve provided to Liv in her own car, it’s certainly paid dividends.
Drive safe Liv and don’t forget to wave when we pass ! 🚘

These early starts seem to do the trick !
Worth getting up at 5:00am for Evie’s 7:30am test at Pontefract DTc as she passed with flying colours and only 3 driving faults on what the examiner commented as a “lovely drive” !
Super proud of you Evie, you held your nerve and delivered what we both knew you could ! 🙂
Looking forward to waving at you in Felicity Fiat when we pass each other….. drive safe flower !
