Swift Cooper

Swift Cooper Swift Cooper is a British race car constructor and race team In 1985 the team also produced their first Cooper Formula Ford.

Alan and his Brother, Martin setup Cooper Racing in Calne in 1984 after running their own cars in Cornwall. The team built on their success over the following years, and moved to their current address at Castle Combe in the early 90's. Cooper stopped manufacturing ca

We were at Brands Hatch for the Super Classic Formula Ford Championship with a brilliant entry of over 30 cars.

It was a fantastic weekend for the Swift Cooper team both on and off the track this weekend.

Luke Cooper delivered an outstanding drive to take the Race 2 win, after an electronics failure in qualifying forced the team to miss Race 1. A huge team effort went into getting the car running again, and Luke rewarded it in style with a brilliant victory.

Paul Mason was very consistent and put in two strong performances with a pair of 6th‑place finishes.

Alan Slater, in the oldest car on the grid, fought hard all weekend and came home with P11 and P9.

We were also joined by our Junior Drivers, Kieran, Ollie and Mason who were invited along to watch the racing and for the VRRC sim Racing Championship presentations.

Kieran picked up 3rd place and a Driver of the Round award and Ollie also picked up a Driver of the Round award.

Thank you to Kieran Haines for the brilliant photos.

It was a great showing of teamwork and effort from everyone involved.

An incredible way to start the year!

Luke had two brilliant races, with epic battles in both and came away with 2 wins and 2 fastest laps for a maximum points haul.

Sam Skellett was racing in the Class A car for the first time and he had 2 fantastic races. He had a monumental race in the first race, changing places many times and came away with a 2nd place to make it a 1-2 for the team. He added to this with another brilliant battle in the second race and put in another stunning drive to take another podium with a 3rd place.

What a way to start the year!

🏁 Castle Combe Media Day 🏁

Brilliant day shaking things down at Castle Combe Circuit. Sam was back out in the Class A Swift after a successful first test at Silverstone. He continued to grow in confidence, clocking his personal best lap around Combe with a lot more still to come.

Meanwhile, Luke took the 92 Swift out for a bit of fun and some seat time before jumping back into his Class A car to defend his Castle Combe Championship.

The first formula ford race of the year takes place on the 6th April at Castle Combe.

Swift Cooper Junior Team – Round 2 SRK Championship Report

Sunday marked the second round of the SRK Championship at South Coast, and the Swift Cooper Junior Team delivered yet another fantastic performance across the board.

Mason Turner was unstoppable.
Starting from pole in the A Final, he nailed the launch and never looked back, pulling away to secure his second win from two rounds. A flawless drive and perfect start to the season.

Kieran Haines lined up alongside him in P2, and despite battling a clear lack of pace with his kart in the final, he showed real grit. Kieran defended brilliantly for half the race before eventually bringing it home in 5th place. A tough fight, but scoring valuable points.

Vasco continued his strong start to the year, once again making it into the A Final and securing a solid top‑10 finish.

Harrison, Josh and JJ were all battling it out at the front in the B Final. Harrison took 2nd place, while Josh and JJ were both unfortunate and got caught up in incidents that lost them a few positions. While Jacob led the C Final for most of the race but just lost out at the end finishing in 2nd place.

With two rounds complete, Mason leads the Championship, holding a 33‑point advantage over Kieran in 2nd, with Vasco sitting in 4th place.

Even better, six Swift Cooper drivers currently sit inside the top 10 of the overall standings.

And in the Teams Championship, the Swift Cooper International team holds a remarkable 128‑point lead – a huge early advantage.

An incredible start to 2026 for the Swift Cooper Juniors.

Let’s keep this momentum into the next round and continue pushing at the front!

South Coast Race Weekend Round‑Up!

A great weekend for our Swift Cooper Cadet Team, with all four drivers delivering strong performances and keeping themselves firmly in the championship fight.

Lucio put in a standout performance all day. A small mistake in his final heat cost him pole for the A Final, but he still launched from P3 and delivered a brilliant drive to bring home 2nd place, pushing the leader all the way.

Rubin started P4 for the A Final, but an unlucky kart draw took away the result he deserved. Despite that, his strong heat results earned him valuable Championship points and kept him right in the mix.

Logan had a solid, consistent day — a dominant heat win and good points in his final heat secured a place in the A Final. A solid run saw a P8 finish to keep his momentum rolling.

Finlay opened the day with an impressive 2nd place in his first Heat. As the track dried, his height made things tricky in the cadet karts, but he still scored the 14th highest points of the event.

With all four drivers sitting inside the top 6 in the Championship, and just 15 points covering 1st to 6th, the title fight is wide open.

While In the Teams Championship, Swift Cooper Cadet now holds a 58‑point lead, building on a fantastic start to the season. Hopefully we can keep that going for the rest of the year!

Sunday saw our first car test day of the year at Silverstone.

Sam Skellett was out for his first run in the Class A car, getting plenty of laps under his belt and putting in some very respectable lap times.

Alan Slater was also back on track in his trusty Nike, shaking off the winter rust and getting ready for the season to kick off in April.

A great start to the year, roll on race season!

A brilliant day at Herefordshire with JS Racing Tuition yesterday as we prepare for the SRK rounds later this year.

The whole team made strong progress, and Vasco and Mason were flying — putting in two of the fastest laps the circuit has seen this year.

It bodes very well for the 2 rounds of the SRK Championship later in the season.

The Swift Cooper International Team delivered an outstanding start to the season!

Mason Turner & Kieran Haines had a dream start. Both drivers won all three of their heats, locking out the front row for the Final. What followed was an incredible battle, with the lead swapping multiple times. Mason ultimately came out on top, with Kieran right behind to secure a Swift Cooper 1–2.

Vasco Lourenço showed blistering pace throughout the day. A spin while fighting for the lead in one heat dropped him to last, but he recovered superbly and was able to make the A Final, although starting lower than he deserved. A brilliant opening few laps saw him charge into 3rd, joining Mason and Kieran in the lead fight. A last‑lap attempt for 2nd didn’t quite stick, costing him a podium, but he still claimed a fantastic 4th place.

Harrison Maxwell finished the heats tied on points for 6th, but with 3 other drivers. A slightly slower lap time saw him line up 9th for the finals, putting him 2nd on the grid for the B Final. A lively, back‑and‑forth race saw him finish 12th overall, but his strong heat points mean he leaves Round 1 sitting 9th in the Championship. That makes it all four International drivers inside the top 10 after the opening round.

What an incredible way to kick off the year!

Bring on Round 2.
