It’s been a record year for fitting diesel heaters ! - great for campers / motorhomes and extremely frugal. And what you get is a van you can use all year around. Controllable 3 ways - 1. via your smart phone 2. the wired panel or 3. A remote.
If fitted internally we use a turret plate (which is for safety). We use an upgraded fuel line and we can connect to your vehicle tank too for ultimate convenience.

Brrr 🥶 - time to park up the van? Nah!! Not with a diesel heater. We are fitting lots of these and we love them - we have them in all our own vans.
They use little in the way of electricity as it’s the diesel that burns in the sealed heat exchanger. Highly efficient and economical.

It’s great when people build their own vans… but… the key is research and there are no shortage of groups to get advice from. What isn’t acceptable is building a van, making a hash of the electrics and then selling the van. Today I fitted a swivel seat to a Renault Master but noticed the split charge relay wasn’t connecting, the leisure battery was flat and upon inspection the 12v electrics were plain dangerous !

A mains hook up cable had been run from the engine to the split charge relay, not a fuse in sight and connections just jammed together - a fire waiting to happen.

The moral is … learn what to do and by all means do it - but don’t take risks with things you don’t understand - seek professional help 👍

Solar really is a no brainer for off grid living - maybe you just like striking your own path and not rely upon campsites - never mind the cost! With enough solar and a well designed system you can run all your kit - fridge, TV, even a microwave e and air fryer.
