Today we’re unlocking and remapping this 2.0 EcoBlue to give it the extra power it deserves. 🚐⚡

Customer was on his way to Spain when his engine suddenly failed.

After removing the timing cover, we found a sheared idler sprocket bolt. The van had reportedly had a wet belt replacement only a few thousand miles ago, making this an interesting one to investigate.

Can the engine be repaired, or will it need replacing? We’ll be digging deeper and sharing the outcome soon.

This Ford Ranger came in just in time.

An oil leak from the wet belt housing had already started affecting the belt, and debris was building up in the oil strainer. Left any longer, this could have resulted in serious engine damage and a very expensive repair.

Wet belt replaced, strainer cleaned, fresh oil and coolant, and back on the road safely. 👌
