WELCOME TO THE TEAM, DANIEL, AKA BOULTERS!

It’s been a bit like a football transfer behind the scenes… after plenty of negotiation, sweet-talking, and convincing, we’ve finally got our man. 😂

We’re really pleased to officially welcome Daniel to the DRS Mechanics team.

Daniel specialises in the big, heavy jobs. Give him a clutch to fit or some in-depth suspension work, and he’s in his element.

More importantly, his workmanship is some of the best we’ve seen. The care and attention he puts into every stage of a job is exactly the standard we want at DRS.

He’s already proving to be an absolute asset to the team, and we’re very happy to finally have him on board.

Another Ford Transit wet belt sorted properly 👌

This one came in for a new wet belt – and when we say we do the job properly, we mean it.

The sump was removed and thoroughly cleaned as part of the job. That’s important because as a wet belt deteriorates, belt material can break away and find its way into the oil system, potentially restricting the oil pickup and causing much bigger engine problems.

Wet belts run inside the engine oil, so using the correct oil specification and keeping on top of servicing is incredibly important.

If you drive a vehicle with a wet belt:

– Stick to the correct service intervals
– Always use oil that meets the manufacturer’s exact specification
– Know when your wet belt is due for replacement
– Don’t ignore oil pressure warnings or changes in how the engine sounds

And yes - you can have your car serviced by an independent garage without automatically losing your manufacturer warranty.

As long as the service is completed to the manufacturer’s schedule, using parts and fluids that meet the required specifications, you don’t have to go back to the main dealer just to keep your warranty intact.

We can carry out manufacturer-spec servicing, ensuring your vehicle gets exactly what it needs while maintaining accurate service records.
