If you’re stuck with a snapped glow plug or injector, give Glow Plug Removals a call, they really helped us out.

Out of the 4 glow plugs, 3 of them were leaking combustion gasses resulting in the shafts and threads becoming seized with carbon. As careful as we were, trying all the tricks we know, all but 1 came out, with the 1 that was leaking the worst (cylinder 4) snapping off.

This is the first time ever we have snapped a glow plug and having this removal service on our doorstep was fantastic.

Would definitely use again for sure, saved us taking the head off to recover the situation ourselves.

This absolute beast of a Mercedes, the legendary V8 diesel ML with full AMG body kit, came to us with a continuously running Airmatic Suspension compressor. Even when the ignition was switched of it would continue to run!

Ran the suspension through its lift and lower cycle to make sure everything worked as it should and checked all pressure sensor readings and all checked out ok, with no fault codes listed.

Swapped out the original Tyco relay for a new genuine part and she’s back to full health again.

This could have easily ended up requiring a complete new compressor should it not have been noticed so quickly as it would have burned out.

If you hear a strange noise from your front offside wheel area then this could be the cause, get it looked at ASAP to avoid costly repairs. The new Mercedes’ superseded part number is ‘A 000 928 85 23’ it is the same part number for the starter motor relay.

Lovely little Hyundai i10 in for a brake refresh all around. With lots of corrosion on the rear discs due to its super low mileage.

Calipers thoroughly cleaned, sliders lubed, new discs and pads from Pagid UK and she’s as good as new. Full brake fluid replacement, flush and bleed to finish the job off.

Pagid really do offer some of the best braking products around, always a pleasure to fit them.

Latest lot of backordered genuine Triumph parts have arrived, now we can drop the swingarm and complete the rest of the rear end refurbishment on the Daytona 600, can’t wait to start seeing the back end of this thing going back together, the tail under tray assembly is looking so fresh, clean and new. 😍

Nice to finally be reassembling some of the rear end components on the Daytona 600, everything has been deep cleaned, de-greased, lenses compounded and polished and everything dressed as it goes back together.

All the dirty electrical connections have been thoroughly cleaned and re-packed with greased to ensure thousands of miles of reliable electrics! 🤞😊

Any rusty and corroded brackets and fixings are being shot blasted and re-coated so they look fantastic and give a longer service life.

Ordering up some extra parts and once they are here we can crack on again. Slow but steady progress 😊🥳

All new spark plugs, OEM original fit NGKs and a good used set of coil packs to replace the ones that had corroded and split their plastic sleeves. When this happens the coil packs get stuck in the head and are difficult to remove!

Also brand new old stock genuine throttle cables and a complete clean and lubricate of the throttle grips and RH switchgear.

Been a while since the Daytona has been touched, but work is now progressing at a decent pace, plan to have this back on the road for the summer 🤞

Been taking time to clean, de-rust and paint any components and brackets that have been removed, before they’ve been reinstalled

The main engine loom has been inspected and thoroughly for any damage, cleaned and the engine itself is starting to look so much more presentable as it’s going back together. Loving the clean engine photo 😍

New to our own personal fleet is this 2005 Aprilia RSV 1000 Factory, with only 4k miles from new, its stunning. A few jobs to get her back on track, first up being a flush of the fuel system and replacement of the fuel filter and tank gasket. (Hope to share many service and maintenance jobs on this bike and will look to start adding content to our YouTube channel in time.)

Big thanks to Griff and the team at Aprilia Performance for getting the parts to us in super quick time. 👍

After a few hundred miles in our hands the bike was experiencing fuel starvation which progressively got worse the closer we got to base. Inspection with the borescope found lots of gunk in the bottom of the tank, not too dissimilar in appearance to the juice you use to make gravy after roasting a chicken! The cause, ethanol based fuels, with the water element causing oxidation of the aluminium pump body/housing.

A quick drain of the tank and thorough wash out took care of the worst of it, followed by a meticulous strip of the whole assembly, ultrasonic cleaning of the teabag strainer, flush and pressure test of the pump and submerged fuel hoses, which all tested ok.

New filter fitted and pump assembly rebuilt, installed into the tank and replaced on the bike. A quick test ride confirms all now functioning perfectly and she pulls strong all the way through to the shift light.

On to the High Pressure Fuel Pump.

Probably one of the simplest jobs on a Gen2 Mini Cooper S with the N14 engine. A few bits to get out of the way to gain access, a bit of a fiddle to get the low pressure line off but not a big deal.

You can see the deviation in Actual Fuel pressure and Set Point pressure in the video. This first manifests itself as very poor cold start, taking numerous restarts before its able to run and idle, plus very poor running and misfire at low revs when driving. The issue completely disappears when the engine has warmed up a bit.

New pump fitted and the Set Point-v-Actual is nice and steady. 3yo Daughter came to help button the car back up and wanted to start the car for the post replacement checks, you may hear her in the second video.

Genuine original Mini HPFP supplied by Mini speaiclists Neo Brothers Ltd who we’d highly recommend to anyone looking for Mini parts.

Test drive completed and all running perfectly. 👍😍

First job of the morning, an in-tank fuel filter replacement on a Gen 2 Mini Cooper S. This car is suffering from poor cold start which is a common issue on these. A check on the scan tool can see significant deviation from desired Set Point fuel pressure values.

Bosch filter used, only ever the best brands or OE, and a thorough clean out of the filter housing. It’s surprising quite how dirty these filters get and suffice to say the fuel in the housing was disposed of! 😱

Will run it for a bit and then on to changing the high pressure fuel pump, don’t want to drag any resudual dirt through to the new pump!

Added complication of 2 child seats which are a tight squeeze and a complimentary clean of the rear carpets and under seats which revealed some lost money which was put safe in the centre console 👍😊
