Another degraded wet belt change.

Whilst doing this job we removed the sump and cleaned the oil pick up and gauze. We also cleaned and re-sealed the sump. We then fitted a new oil filter and re-filled with oil using the correct up to date oil specification.

Did you know, if you use the wrong oil specification your belt will degrade quicker.

We are closed tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd June) as we are heading to the NEC for Automechanika. This is so we can meet suppliers and look at new bits of equipment.

In preparation for our van being sign written by More Creative Solutions our lovely neighbour Chris's Finishing Touch gave it a deep clean and machine polish.

We had a Peugeot in for a DPF clean today.

The Engine Management Light was on showing a fault to the DPF pressure sensor.

On investigation the sensor wasn’t at fault and it was due to a blocked pressure pipe. This caused the vehicle to not perform a self regen on the DPF resulting in the soot content being too high, and a reduction in performance.

We unblocked the pressure pipe and carried out a DPF clean with cleaning fluid.

After this procedure the engine management light remained off and performance was back to normal.

We use Shark Eye Laser Wheel Aligners which are made in England to complete our checks and adjustments.

We check the wheel alignment on vehicles after we replace any suspension components.

Are your tyres wearing evenly? If they aren’t then you may need to get your suspension and wheel alignment checked.
