🌧️ NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO CHECK YOUR CARAVAN! 🌧️
After such a long dry spell, the rain has finally arrived — and although it might not be welcome weather, it’s actually the perfect opportunity to check your caravan for leaks and water ingress.
If your caravan has been sitting unused or is heading into winter storage, please don’t simply assume it’s fine because you haven’t noticed any problems. Some leaks can go unnoticed for months, particularly if the caravan hasn’t been exposed to significant rainfall.
🔎 Take a few minutes to check:
• Around windows and doors
• Roof lights and vents
• Front and rear panels
• Awning rails and external seals
• Inside cupboards and lockers
• Around the bathroom and shower
• Under seating and in corners
• Any areas where you’ve previously had damp or repairs
💧 Even a small leak can cause significant damage if it’s left unchecked. Water ingress can lead to damp, mould, damaged timber and costly repairs — and the longer it’s left, the worse it can become.
If you’re planning to put your caravan away for the winter, now is the ideal time to check it while the weather is doing the testing for you.
If you’re unsure about anything you find, don’t ignore it. Get it checked before storing your caravan away. Catching a problem early could save you a much bigger repair bill later.
At Three Peaks Caravan Services & Sales, we’d always rather help you identify a small issue now than have you discover a much bigger one next spring.
🌧️ Rain is the perfect time to find a leak — don’t waste the opportunity to check your caravan!
