Can you answer three Questions ??

1-A Pen and a pencil cost £1.10 in total. The pen costs £1 more than the pencil. How much does the pencil cost?

2-If it takes five machines five minutes to make five widgets, how long would it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?

3-In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half of the lake?

Am I missing the point??
Just been reading how London is to charge £11.50 + the congestion charge on vehicles with "high pollution / emission levels" per day, ie, Vans / Lorries / Coaches / Buses etc.
I. How do they expect shops and stores too get deliveries?.
2. Are they providing out of city coach parks with thousands of bikes for tourists to hire?.
3. Will this idea really make London cleaner?.

I Don't think so !!!!!!!

Pmsl, Diy exhaust repair presented for an Mot this morning. Nice idea, Jubilee clamp+an old coat hanger wire holding totally rotted exhaust together. Pity it doesn't qualify as "Up to Mot standard". 🤔
