🚛 HGV FITTER / HGV MECHANIC WANTED 🔧
£40,000–£46,000 PER YEAR | £18.00 PER HOUR TO START
We are looking for an experienced and capable HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join our busy workshop team.
The role will involve working on a variety of commercial vehicles, with a particular focus on 7.5-tonne HGV horseboxes.
🔧 THE ROLE
You will be responsible for:
• Carrying out Ministry Inspections
• MOT preparation and rectification work
• Servicing and repairs to all makes and models
• Maintenance and major overhauls
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Road testing vehicles
• Taking vehicles to test stations
• Following repairs from initial fault analysis through to completion
• Working efficiently and safely within a busy workshop environment
You will need to be confident undertaking all levels of maintenance and repair, from routine servicing through to more complex mechanical work.
🚛 ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
✔️ Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Fitter
✔️ Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs independently
✔️ Full UK driving licence
✔️ Class 2 HGV licence
✔️ Good understanding of HGV maintenance and repair
✔️ Ability to work as part of a busy workshop team
✔️ Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
💷 WHAT WE OFFER
£18.00 per hour to start
£40,000–£46,000 annual salary
45 hours per week
Optional Saturday mornings
20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
