Known for our electrical diagnostic skills, we have been seeing more and more vehicles brought to us for correct diagnosis or second opinions by members of the trade and private customers alike.
On many occasions it is the poor understanding of electrical systems on modern vehicles (and some classics) that cause misguided repairs and/or further problems.
We have seen vehicles that have had a lot of money spent on them, sometimes thousands of pounds, with the issue still unresolved (even from vehicle main dealers). Also poor repair work contributing to more cost and issues.
With proper diagnostic techniques and electrical system/component knowledge and understanding, we have found, fixed or advised. Many of our customers could of had issues resolved for significantly less costs if they had been correctly diagnosed in the first place.

To keep all our customers aware, we have and will remain open during the current Coronavirus Pandemic and lockdown. We have put in place measures that keeps our team and our customers safe at all times.

On arrival your key and interior of your car is sanitised with a high level surface disinfectant cleaner that kills 99.9999% of pathogens, including Coronavirus, that keeps on working for up to 7days between cleans. We then use an Ozone generator within your vehicle that further sanitises. The Ozone kills bacteria, molds, fungi, removes bad odours, and inactivates viruses, including COVID-19.

This process generally takes at least 30 minutes, therefor please allow us this time when considering your drop off/collection time of your vehicle.

We also ask that your vehicle interior is left as clean as possible, so please remove any rubbish i.e. old face masks or tissues before leaving your vehicle in our care.

We also request all customers must wear a face covering before entering any part of workshop/office, face masks are available if you do not have one and hand sanitiser is also readily available for your use.

At MAC Motors we don’t just re-gas air conditioning systems, we can diagnose and repair system faults.
In normal running conditions, the air conditioning system can lose up to 15% of its refrigerant every year, therefore even a 3 year old vehicle, coming up for its first MOT, could have lost almost half of its refrigerant. This can impact the performance of the system and subsequently cause damage to some of its components.
Regularly servicing of your air conditioning system can reduce that wear and help to avoid potentially costly repair bills.

We are able to re-gas R134a, the new R1234yf and hybrid vehicles.
We also offer a conversion from R12 to R134a, just to make your classic a little more service friendly.

Air conditioning systems don’t just keep you cool in summer, the system also helps remove moisture and condensation from your vehicle in those damp winter months.

At MAC Motors we recognise that technology evolves very quickly, we have heavily invested in our diagnostics equipment; most of which is used by the main dealers such as Ford, Vauxhall, Jaguar, Mazda, Land Rover, Renault, Volkswagen Audi Group, Peugeot and many more.

As vehicles become more sophisticated and rely on computerised management systems for nearly every component, they become impossible to repair without specialist equipment and expertise.
We can resolve auto electrical and technical problems others can’t, earning us a good reputation with our professionalism and level of service no matter whether the job is big or small it will be diagnosed correctly and efficiently.

Our up to date diagnostic equipment allows us to program and calibrate the majority of components to the vehicle, this in turn allows us to fully see through the repair of your vehicle, from diagnosis, replacement/rectification of the problem, to the programming or calibration.

If you are experiencing irregular tyre wear, handling problems or a crooked steering wheel, an alignment check should be performed. Ignoring signs of misaligned wheels can reduce the life of your tyres, and can cause driver assist systems to malfunction. Even without experiencing these problems, most vehicle manufacturers recommend checking your alignment every 10,000 miles or 12 months; whichever comes first.

At MAC we use a Hunter digital imaging system that uses high resolution cameras to image the vehicle.
Allowing us to accurately set Toe, Camber and Caster angles of all four wheels, this is much more than just tracking.
