Have neglected to post much on here recently. Lots has been going on in the shop though of course! It never stops, but it’s all pretty good fun.

Beryl ‘61 Beetle we sorted with a new 4” Narrowed beam, and reindex on the rear end. Looooovely car!

Quick Clutch job on a customers ‘68. Almost always recut the flywheel now on the lathe. Worth it, and super satisfying.

Our old mexi in for some work. Flywheel oil seal, inlet manifold gasket and some tweaks. Absolute animal of a car.

Joe Chatfield fitting up another 4” on a super cool Australian import Beetle.

We ❤️ fresh suspension.

The results. Not super low, a minimum clearance was stated and we worked to that. Fresh Nankang Tyre all round too and Adjustable drop plates in the rear!

The culprit! That’s what a lean mixture and missing tinware seal/provisions will grant you

From us to everyone who came to our ‘shop last weekend - THANK YOU!

I honestly never expected so many people to come by. We had such an awesome array of vehicles, great times and great people.

We really packed them in this time, and had 70+ ‘show vehicles’ directly outside the shop. I didn’t fully think through parking, meaning some were blocked in 😆 - but no one seemed to mind… With plenty to look at, some pleasant weather and top-tier food by Pickup a Pizza - the time flew by!

This was our second ever show/open/callitwhatyoulike day, and from now on, we’ll be doing one every year on the same weekend 100%.

Thanks again to all who came and to those who helped ❤️

🚨BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!🚨 This weekend, we’re back with our yearly Meet at the ‘shop!
We welcome all Aircooled cars, Vw and not! Anything retro/classic, and just anything else cool.
Last years event was an absolute belter. Some incredible cars turned up, and the atmosphere was so so good!
We have Pickup a Pizza on food/drink duties again - offering their fantastic stone-baked pizza out the back of their Commercial Baywindow pickup, and a range of cold drinks too. Better get the shop cleaned up I guess 😆.

A very, very, very lovely Razoredge for Myles. This one’s been a bit more than just air and wheels!
Off of the road since the late 90’s, absolutely every aspect of this car’s mechanicals, electricals and other running gear has been brought back up to date.
The result is simply sublime, and one of the nicest driving Aircooled cars I’ve ever experienced!
It’s been a fun job, but now it’s ready to head back to the owner.
Full Premium treatment on the air suspension with a 4” beam up front, new brakes all round, engine work… and the list goes on!
Thanks to Iain Burns for the 12v conversion and other work on the electricals

What a tremendous evening/night we had yesterday! Hottest day of the year (and on record apparently), and my god, were the ‘vibes’ spot on. Big thanks to everyone who came and the Staffordshire Aircooled guys who do a great job of bringing together all the local Aircooled lot

TONIGHT! We have the Leon meet at our shop. This isn’t our ‘big’ meet like we had in July last year (maybe some news on that happening again this year soon 👀), but we’ve booked the weather, have plenty of cold drinks/water and a nice empty car park with lots of shade!
Come by, see some cars, chat some s**t, see some mates. Perfect summer evening activities.
From 7PM! Please don’t come sooner (car park won’t be ready). Use “EvaResto LTD” in maps, NOT the postcode!

Cool ‘looker we sorted with a narrowed beam for Paul.
Supplied wheels and awesome tyres (Firestone wide oval in the back!) really make this thing pop!

Might just be the heaviest Beam we’ve produced 😆.
This UNIT right here is a 4” oversize, featuring our off-road trimmings, high range adjusters (x4!), ‘split’ torsion leaves and superstrength towers + tow/recovery hooks.
Love doing interesting/different stuff like this

Big recommissioning/sort out job on this gorgeous ‘66 Karmann Ghia SA import for David.
This car I’m particularly fond of! Ghia’s as straight and authentic feeling as this one are very few and far between now.
Now, this one drives as well as it looks. What a beaut!
