At Jon's Autos, we love the Peugeot/Citroen/Vauxhall 1.2 turbo and non turbo Stellantis engines. We are a specialist in wet belt replacement on these engines, and have all the dealer tooling. These engines get a bad reputation for the wet belts failing and degrading. Most of this is due to garages not servicing them with the correct stelantis 5w30 oil. I have seen the belts totally de grade and break up as early as 40k miles due to poor servicing. If they are serviced correctly with the correct oil every 12months or 10k I've seen them last as long as 60k+ but I would always recommend getting the belts replaced at 60k miles for maximum reliability. Give us a shout if your wet belt is due for replacement 👍

Its been a very busy year for us. Merry Christmas🎄 and a big thankyou to all our regular customers and new ones. We have just invested heavily in the latest software capabilities including gateway pass thru capabilities for 2026. When it comes to diagnostics we like to be top of the game which is getting very tricky when your doing multi francise vehicles. With we have great coverage allowing us to do oem procedures and authorisation when it comes to replacing certain components on vehicles and entering service information on dashboards etc. We can offer this service to private individuals and trade customers .

We had a ford kuga with the black screen of death on its sync 3 system. The system software was out of date and the customer had tried to update it using Ford processes. However during the update, the software became corrupted. All the features of the vehicle useless including all the parking, radio and satnav etc. We can update and re flash the software on the sync 3 system if your Ford has the black screen of death or your software is out of date. We also update all the map software if your sync has navigation etc. Get in touch if you have any issues 😉

Had a naughty transit custom in that didn't want to perform re gens on its dpf! Diagnostic code read, check of the live data to see what was going on, chemical dpf clean and new fuel vaporiser later it ran like a dream. 😎👌

Few pairs of wheel arches for a vauxhall club who provided a pair of new old stock wheel arch repairs for us to template from. Remember we don't only fabricate panels on our website we can do one offs small production runs. As long as you can provide a pattern we can fabricate it.

We even fix trains 😁 had to go and get the land train sorted at the National Memorial Arboretum. If you've not been it's definitely worth a visit 👍

An Aston Martin V8 1973 that we restored from a rolling shell purchased from auction. It is now up for sale: unfortunately the owner never got the chance to get behind the wheel as he passed away during the restoration. It now belongs to his wife. His wishes were "no matter what happens the Aston must be returned to roads" so we made that happen. Its now a lovely vehicle for someone to enjoy.

It has been a while since I've posted anything on here as I've been mega busy. I've had a few interesting jobs over the past few weeks on the classic car side.

A 1972 Aston Martin V8. Its had a full body restoration done previously. I'm slowly putting it back together which is a massive task but will be a beautiful car once complete.

Jaguar E type v12 which wouldn't run and idle. Now running beautiful and sold to it's new owner.

Bentley GT having some diagnostic work.

Triumph Mayflower in for a re wire, customer had fitted a new loom and needed it all wiring in.

I will post some more of the Aston as it goes along re assembly

Where does the time go! We've been so busy with all sorts of jobs from diagnostic fault finding, injector seal replacement, cam belt and water pump replacement, mot work and servicing. Here's a few pics of some of the work...

Had the pleasure of re commissioning this Ford Capri laser over the past few months. It's been stored away in the garage since the late 80s/90s and has only been started and moved every so often. The owner Peter Nesbit purchased it from new in 1985 so it is still with its original owner. It's now all road legal once again and hope that Peter enjoys driving it once again. It really is a lovely example.
