Gov.uk Coronavirus MOTs for cars , vans and motorcycles due From 30 March 2020
New guidelines just issued today
From 30 March 2020 MOT due dates for cars , light vans and motorcycles will be extended for 6 months
However you must keep your vehicle safe to drive

Update - Just to confirm from the government announcements last night we remain OPEN until advised otherwise and as long as we stay in good health - we are an essential business - Your car will still need a valid MOT if you intend to use it or your insurance will not be valid - repairs and maintenance also need carrying out for safety .
If you decide to take your car off the road during this time make a SORN on the DVLA website
If you want to avoid contact with garage staff we can arrange collection and drop off with payments taken online or over the phone - if this service is required please let us know , local areas only as stated in our previous post .
If you decide to drop your cars off yourselves please put your car key in an envelope or small bag , we will have a drop box in the office and just inside the main roller shutter door so people can keep to their 2 metre distancing
All contact areas and key fobs will be wiped down prior to collection , the card machine and office door handles are wiped down after each use for everyone’s peace of mind

Coronavirus Update for our business - We are still open and taking necessary precautions with our customers and cars , gloves worn at all times by Gary when working on your cars , door handles and card machine wiped down regularly throughout the day and keys wiped down before returning
For our older customers and for those people self isolating we are offering a local pick up and collection service and you can pay over the phone , by cheque or online . Areas covered Read , Simonstone , Fence , Higham , Altham , Padiham and Whalley
Bookings available from 6th April
book early for MOTs as these slots go fast - MOTs can be carried out ONE calendar month before expiry date
