Hello everyone, it’s Julie.
I wanted to share something very special with you all. Today we officially opened Crows Farm Woodland — on the land where the much loved Julie’s Car Boot Sale ran for 29 years. And what a day it was! The weather was kind, and the ceremony felt incredibly meaningful.
The Mayor planted the first oak tree, and I’ve added the video of my speech, along with some photos so you can all share the moment with me.
Thank you to everyone who came along and to the many wonderful people who helped behind the scenes:

Hello everyone, it’s Julie here.
I wanted to share some special news with you all personally, especially as so many of you have been part of Julie’s Car Boot Sale for many years. This page has always been a lovely community, and I know there has been a lot of curiosity — and some concern — about what would happen to the land now the car boot has ended.
So today I want to put your minds at rest and share something I’m really proud of.
After a huge amount of thought, planning and hard work with the Forestry Commission, the former car boot field is being transformed into a new woodland here at Crows Farm, Burgh Castle.
This woodland will be a peaceful, natural space for wildlife to flourish and for future generations to enjoy. It felt like the right way to give something back to the land that has given so much to my family — and to all of you who came to the boot sale over the years.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Great Yarmouth will plant the first tree in the near future, photos to be posted.
I know the car boot sale held a special place in many people’s hearts — mine included — and I will always treasure the memories, the friendships, the Sunday mornings, and the laughter we shared. Closing it was not an easy decision, but it was the right moment to finish on a high.
I’m sharing this news with you now so that everyone hears it directly from me, and I truly hope you’ll agree that turning the field into a woodland is a positive and meaningful new chapter.

The veg / flower man!

Starting Tuesday 30th April, we shall be at Corton Carboot from 7.30am -11.30am👌

Starting Saturday 4th May we shall have plants at our home 🏡
9am till midday each Saturday throughout May
We have a vast array of Bedding plants in packs £2.20 per pack.
We will have a selection of trailing petunias and bacopa £1.20 per pot 😀
We shall have some Tomato Plants, we shall also have some other vegetable plants later on in May.

The address is 15 Squires Walk. NR32 4LA if you do visit, please respect local residents and park in a safe and orderly manner.

We are the people who used to be at Julie's Carboot, next to the burger van! 🍔

“As many of you may know, Yarmouth Heliport are gearing up to hosting car boot sales on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month between April and October 🚗

They are actively looking for staff to assist with the car boots, which will largely require traffic stewards and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for both participants and visitors 👥

- 6:30am - 2pm
- Paid work
- Uniform supplied

Julie’s Car Boot Sale is happy to reveal to all our followers that discussions have developed with an amazing local business and have resulted in a brand new car boot starting which is going to be held locally.

Yarmouth Heliport will be hosting a Sunday car boot sale on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month starting April 7th and I understand they intend running it through to October - 14 in all.

Having met Kevin and the team on several occasions, I'm confident they'll build something fantastic and confident they will receive your support to make that happen.

I wish them all the success and I’ll be cheering them on from the sidelines.

After 29 remarkable years of hosting Julies Car Boot Sale, we have reached a pivotal moment in its journey, with a mix of nostalgia and sincere gratitude to you all we announce that Julies Car Boot Sale has closed its gates for the last time on Sunday 24th September 2023. This decision has not been made lightly and has been a difficult one to make and we want to thank each and every one of you for supporting us through nearly 3 decades, your support has been the cornerstone of our success. This car boot sale has been a beloved tradition, bringing people together, a vibrant hub for buying, selling and connecting all sorts of enthusiasts. Julies Car Boot Sale is nestled in the embrace of our farm, Julie a 4th generation farmer realize that the world faces unprecedented challenges related to carbon emission and our environment and now we are at that turning point. The land will be undergoing a transformation in line with our dedication to nurturing the environment by creating a rich species grassland. This decision aligns with the urgent need to create sustainable solutions that benefit our community and planet. As the land embark on this new chapter may we thank you once more on the legacy we’ve built, Julies Car Boot Sale will forever linger with stories and memories we have all woven together. So as we change and bid farewell let us remember that endings are also new beginnings. To every seller who set up stalls to every buyer that uncovered hidden gems and to every visitor who became part of this enormous car boot family heartfelt appreciation goes out to you all.

Last Sunday left for the 2023 season. Gates open 6am for buyers & sellers, there is NO NEED TO BOOK. Pitch prices are £9 per 8-meter pitch or £13 per 16-meter pitch – 1 vehicle = 1 pitch. Thanks to everyone for your amazing support. NR31 9EN
