Another trilogy ends with Albert Sumner following in the footsteps of siblings Ethan and Henry passing 1st time today with flying colours. All 3 have been a pleasure to teach and so happy to complete the hat-trick before my impending retirement. Well done again Alfred and all the best in the years ahead. 🏆🍻🥇🏎️

It’s always rewarding when someone puts 100% into achieving their goal and that applies to Aiden who smashed it today on the 9.07 test at Burgess Hill test centre. Chuffed as punch that you made it today and will likely bump into you as you pound the streets of Burgess Hill. Well done Aiden and relax. 🏆⭐️💪

In wet weather, stopping distances will be at least double those required for stopping on dry roads. This is because your tyres have less grip on the road. In wet weather

• you should keep well back from the vehicle in front. This will increase your ability to see and plan ahead

• if the steering becomes unresponsive, it probably means that water is preventing the tyres from gripping the road. Ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually

• the rain and spray from vehicles may make it difficult to see and be seen

• be aware of the dangers of spilt diesel that will make the surface very slippery

• take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders.

If you know anyone who has a test on Thursday 10th this may be usefull!

Candidates with tests on Thursday 10 July should still come for their test despite the threat of strike action by examiners.

In case you missed it earlier today, it's been confirmed that the cost of car and motorcycle theory tests will drop from £31 to £25 in October 2014, and then to £23 in October 2015.

Theory test fees for other categories of vehicle will also be reduced. The changes have been confirmed following a public consultation.
