Another Rover 75 saved by College Motors!

This 2004 2.0 M47R Contemporary SE finished in Royal Blue Metallic was destined for the scrapyard having been sat dormant since 2014. Originally sold to us as an end of life vehicle we saw potential in this hidden gem.

This ex MG Rover press car came out the factory with a whole host of upgrades and with only 70,000 miles from new this unloved and abused Rover 75 was just too good to break down for spare parts…

Here’s a whole bunch of photos to take you along with us on the journey of bringing a car that was destined for the scrapyard back to its former glory.

A very testing and time consuming journey throughout but worth it to see the end product and the smile on the new owners face upon collection!

Two Shotsilk ZR’s with us in the same week!

Rob’s immaculate ZR in for a replacement alternator and exhaust heat shield. Makes a big difference to the engine bay…

Anthony’s lovely ZR was on the move for some engine upgrades for him to enjoy this summer.

We had this poorly little MG3 in last week which had suffered oil starvation which led to a catastrophic engine failure....

We had this poorly little MG3 in last week which had suffered oil starvation which led to a catastrophic engine failure.

After the customer had it recovered to the main dealer she purchased the car from they suggested for her to write the car off and purchase a new one. She was onto the MG forums to find an alternative option and our name was recommended.

She gave us a call and sure enough we had an engine in one of our donor cars that had covered less mileage than her car. She was delighted that her car would be saveable!

Now in and running and returned back to a very happy customer.
