Come and watch if unsure Modern Sequence is your thing we are here to help and show you the classic dances which are danced all over this country. Unlike most dancing where you dance your own thing. Sequence we all do the same dance and follow each other. Or try to lol. Nothing serious just social good fun and laughter. There are so many Sequence Dances. Foxtrots, Quickstep's, Waltzes, Swings, Jives, Blues, Strolls, Tangos, Rhumbas, Sambas, Saunter's, Cha Chas, Bachata's, Two Steps, Gavottes and the party dances with a few line dances thrown in before tea break. New dances are always being invented but at Stratton we keep mainly to the classics.
Couple of times a month on a Saturday evening there are Sequence dances held in the surrounding village halls St. Giles on Heath, Tetcott and Pyworthy where these classics are danced with other dancers. Holsworthy Memorial Hall would be the largest that we arrange dances.
They say dancing is one of the best forms of exercise and keeps your mind active. If interested pop along come and join the fun.

Can't believe I stayed in bed till 9am this morning, but our first Sunday roast away from Stratton for goodness knows how long. Concerned whilst in Blackpool last week we had made a big mistake in closing with sunshine forecast all day today but that didn't happen with dampness at times. Very few phone calls so happy we have now finished, right decision. There are indoor table top sales at Truro and Hatherleigh until we get going again next season. I know most of you wait and are so loyal to Pendeen which speaks abundance for the appreciation whilst we can continue in 2027. 🙂

PENDEEN HAS CLOSED FOR THE 2026 SEASON opening again Sunday 28th March 2027 for Easter weather permitting. 🤔 Once the nine Porto Loos are unhired they are removed until next season. We always say when we start the season just flies by, been a pretty good season although more cancellations than we would like, down to the weather forecast.

Wind was a factor this morning and rain 12pm onwards. Made the correct decision.
But yesterday we were accused of being greedy by opening a fortnight ago unbelievable. Rain was expected to stop that day after 11am and we went ahead picking up the pitch fees later and not charging the early buyers. But an isolated shower hit us at 2pm and that ended the sale with what was a wrong decision on my part in opening. Thankfully the sellers that were brave enough to come and sell had a remarkable sale. We were upset with the comment on this page stating sellers were turning and leaving as soon as entering the site totally fabricated. Just as someone seeing 20 comments about us being greedy, but certainly not on this page where we don't know unless that's totally fabricated as well.
I'm going to leave the total amount raised this season until we know the final figure in a few weeks time. 🤔

Jim our egg and pototo man inside the entrance normally. Will now be parked up at Atlantic Garage, Stratton, (TYR) every Sunday between 10am and 4pm for your continued support until Pendeen opens for the 2027 season.

Disappointing update as we cancel Sunday September 27th and not end the season on a high. Octobers outlook is wet and windy for our area so no longer prepared to risk carrying on.
So, END OF SEASON FOR 2026 with so many cancellations this year especially early on.

Easter 2027 is early Sunday March 28th if able to open then we will the Sunday and Monday.

Our THANKS to the volunteers TEAM PENDEEN keeping our reputation so high. THANKS to our loyal faithful sellers and the many new sellers that have joined us in 2026. THANKS to our regular faithful buyers and all the visitors this season. It’s wonderful we have the balance at Pendeen and our THANKS to all those that travel such distances to sell and buy. THANK YOU for keeping the site so litter free and those that help so we continue. THANK YOU for all the compliments it makes it all so worthwhile for Karl, Sandra and I. xx

THANK YOU SO MUCH for donating yesterday, Sunday September 20th £397.25 collected in the buckets by John, Tina, Annette, Di, Cynthia and Michael. That has taken our season total to £11,183.11 Can we do just a few more sales to topple the record last year of £12,000? Weather depending, we carry on. 🤔

152 sellers in the warm sunshine with little breeze in all a perfect car boot sale. It was a real pleasure to be there today and still hearing how good last week was in the short time operating and hearing today was a good day as well. Numbers attending may be dropping but those that were there were certainly buying with the compliments and items being carried out. One of our volunteers needed to go to??? Stratton Hospital just before opening time HUGE THANKS to Emma for the transport there and back and to Darren in case a later pick up was needed. Two Samaritans of the day. 🙂
