Great Advice and Thoughts re Cyclists on the road….

That cyclist, that you're getting impatient with, isn't choosing the weather they're riding in. They could be travelling to work, school or home just like you. Maybe they aren't old enough to drive yet, maybe they can't afford to run a car and rely on their bike to get around.

You are protect by metal and airbags, what protection do they have?

In darker, wetter conditions, a little more patience and a little more space can make all the difference.

According to DVSA findings, combining professional instruction with extra practise with a parent or other suitable adult, helps to build essential road experience for learner drivers.

In fact 76% of young drivers who passed their test, confirmed they had private practise alongside their professional lessons.

However, it was noted that learners can pick up bad habits from parental teaching which is why professional lessons remain vital.

Studies show that private practise is most effective when it targets scenarios instructors rarely have time to cover. This includes practising on roads near the local test centre as this can improve hazard perception scores by 24%.

Weekends and evening driving in different road and weather conditions can also build confidence and experience of varying light and traffic flow.

How will you plan your sessions?
