The Citroen Berlingo Vinyl Removal.

One that massively challenged us both mentally and physically. In all the years I’ve been detailing this has been one of the most expensive in terms of materials but also the most challenging to get our heads round.
We pulled Nathan in for this one from NS Detailing to help.

The wrap came off easily however on the metal panels the level of residue left behind was extremely excessive. We simply thought the use of tar and glue remover would be ideal to use. Nope. The use of industrial strength product was purchased and we were still failing to remove the glue on a timely manner.
So the entire vehicle went through a toffee wheel process to remove the glue. Unfortunately this was the only process to work and took hours!

Once this process was complete then a full body rinse, washed via clay treatment, polished and finally waxed. Then the inside, which took like an hour!

I’ll be a bit slower in taking on any more vinyl removals that’s for sure 😂

We may have been quiet on our socials the last few days but that certainly doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy!
With battling the weather and the demand we had to pull in Nathan from NS Detailing to help us this week. So, areas covered have been Ellesmere Port, Buckley, Chester and Broughton.

A Rexton receiving its monthly maintenance plan.
A Volkswagen Golf receiving a machine polish and ceramic coating.
A Citroen Berlingo. This was a NIGHTMARE! I shall do a full write up on this one soon.
A BMW X5 and Mercedes receiving a monthly maintenance.
A Hyundai I20 and Citroen DS3 having full valets.
Then finally to bring us up to date, a Volkswagen Golf receiving a machine polish and ceramic to remove previous buffer marks and apply protection.

The next two days are going to be a challenge physically with the heat so please, if your slot needs changing due to health and safety then bear with us.

***PAGE ANNOUNCEMENT***

We are taking some well earned time off. From Tuesday 14th July to Tuesday 21st July we are on holiday. Enquiries will be replied to however I’ll be on my phone once a day whilst I’m away to enjoy the down time.

Also, Saturday 4th July I have made bookings however I am at a car show that has been pre-booked so all work on this date will be rescheduled. I shall be contacting those customers over the coming days.

I do still have 11 unread enquiries that I will work my way through tomorrow evening, thank you to all customers for your ongoing patience, it truly is appreciated.

We have been really busy working on some big jobs behind the scenes hence the stories being fairly quiet however some big updates to come to show what we have been up to this last week.

With Fathers Day today I’ve taken time out to spend with friends and family so the jobs I have rescheduled I really do appreciate a lot.

Tonight has been spent product testing a new product sent to us and it’s to thoroughly deep clean and condition leather interiors using a total new system and it is fantastic.

Once upon a time a customer said to me they liked their leather shiny. Leather should never be shiny. It should always be matte as that shows how clean it is.

We are back this week and it’s meant to be scorching so please bear with us with the weather.

Here’s today’s work 👌

A stunning BMW X3 receiving an enhancement machine polish to restore the paintwork to its former glory. The vehicle had swirl damage, bush marks and needed some correction. What a stunning vehicle.

Whilst we were mobile we had Nathan from NS Detailing helping us de-sticker a van to be left with another challenge… seriously stubborn glue removal so that’s one to continue over this weekend.

Back tomorrow with maintenance work.

What a mad busy couple of days it’s been and thanks to our customers for bearing with us.

Yesterday we machine polished and ceramic coated the lovely Skoda VRS we maintain monthly. The customer opted for the best package to look after the heavily oxidised paint and it looks truly fantastic now!

Then this morning, in Ellesmere Port for a new Volvo that’s on the maintenance already, then a second Volvo for a full valet.

Back tomorrow with a machine polish on a BMW.

A very productive Monday today!

Starting out in Carmel for a Kia EV3 that needed a single stage machine polish and ceramic due to poor dealership prep.
Heading to Higher Kinnerton next for our customers Volvo we maintain monthly then finishing off at home.
Vauxhall Insignia pre-sale clean, Astra GTC maintenance and a clean from our van.

We have unfortunately received a complaint about working from home, apparently washing cars to please our customers makes other people upset about the service we provide.
We as a business are the most approachable, we are so laid back and me as a person I’ll do anything to help the community so to receive a complaint about a small business working hard to provide for their family - the individual who raised said complaint has kind of hit a brick wall.

So, just on this, mobile work of course is not affected however working from where I live (that many other self employed AND employed people also do) is now limited thanks to one individual. I have in writing how many details I can perform from my home address therefore those who do drop off to me should not worry.

Anyway… negative sandwich over… back to a very productive day tomorrow, Karen Complaint Free!
