Little later than anticipated but here she is running with a fresh MOT,
Took much longer as we were waiting on parts.
So.....

Camshafts
Hydraulic lifters
Crank bearings
Head gasket
Head bolts
Camshaft cover gasket
Head skimming
8 x exhaust valves

Timing cover
Clutch
Dual mass flywheel
4 x injectors
Brake pads on the front

Clean sheet and ready to leave 🤝

Today's antics 😅🙄
This is apparently a rebuilt engine, well let me tell you it's not! Yes it's been painted, including the camshafts 😵, it came to us as a non runner, so far we have found.....
Crank pick up wheel damaged, damaged big end bearings, hydraulic lifters not seated on the valves, camshaft damage, and a re-used headgasket, next step, head skimming, 16 valves, 16 hydraulic lifters, new wet belt, new camshafts, new head gasket and new head bolts. I will update later in the week once the engine is refitted and running 🫡.

CJ Motors are looking for a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our friendly team!

✅ Hours:

Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm

Part-time options available — flexible days or shorter hours to suit you

Requirements:

MOT licence (Class 4)

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
