Great to see my friend Carl today. We worked closely when he was my boss at JLR as Vehicle Engineer Manager on X260 XF so it’s lovely to see he’s bought one. 3.0TDV6 and a great colour choice. D7a (XE/XF/F-Pace/Velar) are sensitive to powertrain and exhaust positioning and Carl was convinced we could improve the NVH on his car. Slackening off transmission and exhaust mounts and retorquing has made a considerable difference

My L322 3.6TDV8 has a later car (Disco 5?) 21” wheels fitted and the centre caps were looking scabby. Fortunately my friend Jon Fallowell had an OEM set that I could use, so my thanks to him. The OEM caps will be far better at staying on and looking good than cheap aftermarket parts. Looking much better for it!

My first ever track day at today. Bizarre perhaps how much I’m into cars and I’ve just turned 50! Great weather and a lovely bunch of people as it’s my friend Jon’s Stag Do! One big high speed spin to report (and ran out of fuel on track 🙄) but the Elise didn’t miss a beat was amazing fun!
