***JOB OPPORTUNITY***

We have an exciting opportunity available at Victoria Garage Brighouse. We are looking to recruit a reliable and hard-working MOT Tester to join our well-established and thriving business.
This post is a full time post, between the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday, there will be a requirement to work at least 2 Saturday mornings a month.

Applicants must hold a current MOT testers licence for Class 4 vehicles and a full driving licence.
Good communication skills, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work under own initiative are required.

- Annual salary between £27k - £32k dependent upon experience
- 28 days paid holiday including bank holidays
- Quarterly bonus dependent on positive performance

Due to a fire at one of our neighbouring businesses overnight, Gooder Lane is currently closed and we are currently unable to access Victoria Garage.

Update - We are now back up & running, and normal service has resumed. Thank you for all concerns, everyone is well and feeling very lucky 🍀

Hi all

As some of you may have seen or heard, there has been a minor incident in the Garage this morning. The gas canister we use has unfortunately set alight, this has now been put out and removed, and the fire service are making sure everything is safe.

Thankfully no one was hurt, there has been minimal damage from the fire, and as soon as we are allowed back in we will be cleaning up and hopefully normality resumed as soon as possible.

There may be some delays as we get back up & running, customers booked in over the next few days will be contacted directly should there be an issue.

Just a reminder to all of our customers who have an MOT coming up, we are expecting a huge spike in bookings around September and October following the lift of the extension.

Please book well in advance where possible, so we are able to accommodate you before your expiry date.

Good evening!
We hope all of our customers are keeping well.

The latest Covid-19 government guidance confirmed the 6 month extension on MOT due dates is coming to an end as of 1st August 2020. This means if your MOT is due after this date, you are required to have it done before expiry to remain road legal. Any MOTs due up to 31st July still have a 6 month grace from their due date.
You can check when your MOT is due by using the MOT checker on the government website.

Good afternoon,

We’re pleased to announce we are back open for business as of today.
We are operating with skeleton staff for the time being to consider the safety of our staff and customers.

We would ask all customers to respect social distancing measures when coming to the garage, this means one customer at a time in the office, and remaining 2m apart from staff and other customers.
We are accepting payment by cash, but encourage customers to pay by card where possible.
