Today we carried out a full brake fluid flush and updated the digital service history on this Mini.
Brake fluid naturally absorbs moisture over time, which can reduce braking efficiency and lead to internal corrosion in brake components.

Old brake fluid can cause:
• Lower boiling point under heavy braking
• Spongy brake pedal feel
• Reduced braking performance
• Sticky pistons or seized calipers

Fresh brake fluid helps maintain:
✅ Better brake performance
✅ Firmer pedal feel
✅ Faster braking response
✅ Reduced stopping distance in emergency braking
✅ Protection for calipers, ABS components and brake lines

Most manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid every 2 years to keep the braking system working correctly or ideally a brake fluid change is recommended when any braking component is replaced eg Brake discs and pads.

We’ve been lucky to have Kieran with us on work experience here at J Brett Autos. In just a short time, he’s shown great effort, commitment, and a real willingness to learn.

He’s now heading off to study engineering, and we’ve no doubt he’ll do brilliantly in the future. Wishing him all the best as he celebrates this milestone birthday and takes the next step in his journey! 🚗✨
