⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A pass this morning, followed by these lovely words from Samantha! 🧡🖤

“He never gave up on me, continued to encourage me and helped me build my confidence, even when things didn’t go to plan.”

As a driving instructor, reading that means a great deal. Helping someone believe in themselves, work through challenges and develop the skills to drive safely is such a rewarding part of what I do.

Samantha began her driving journey in 2023, and today she gets to celebrate passing her test! 🚗🎉

Her perseverance deserves recognition, and I’m delighted to have played a part in her success.

Thank you, Samantha, for your thoughtful five-star review and for trusting me to help you reach this milestone.

Enjoy your well-earned freedom—you’ve worked hard for it! 👏

🚗🎉 FIRST-TIME PASS FOR TAHMIDUL! 🎉🚗

Huge congratulations to Tahmidul, who passed his driving test on his FIRST attempt today, Friday 9th October 2026! 👏

Heading out at 8:57 this morning, Tahmidul had some understandable test-day nerves. Those nerves made him drive a little more cautiously than usual, with feedback about maintaining progress and slowing down too early. Nevertheless, his competence came through, and he returned with that all-important pass certificate! 🏆

Tahmidul is also a valued member of the team at Five Spice in Belbroughton, so we’re giving this local business a well-deserved shout-out alongside his achievement. 🍽️✨

Well done, Tahmidul. It’s been a pleasure helping you reach this milestone. Enjoy your independence and keep driving safely! 🚗✅

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “10/10 driving instructor and an all round top bloke.”

What a lovely review from Oliver after passing his driving test today with just two minor faults! 🚗👏

Despite feeling incredibly nervous, Oliver handled an unfamiliar route and a parallel park, earning a well-deserved pass.

Helping someone build confidence behind the wheel is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Reading that Oliver felt supported, encouraged and enjoyed his lessons makes today even more special.

Thank you for your kind words, Oliver, and for trusting me throughout your learning journey. You put in the work—you’ve earned this! 🙌

Enjoy your freedom and keep driving safely.

🎉 OLIVER HAS PASSED! 🎉

Congratulations to Oliver, who passed his driving test today with just two minor driving faults! 👏🚗

Back in April, Oliver achieved a clean sheet for driving faults, but one serious fault meant he narrowly missed out. A tough result after all his hard work—but today he came back and got the result he deserved.

Oliver was incredibly nervous today—even more so than on his first attempt. With fair weather conditions, he faced an unfamiliar route and a parallel park, a manoeuvre many candidates find particularly challenging.

Despite those nerves, he showed he could put his training into practice and deliver a safe, successful drive.

You don’t have to feel fearless to succeed. You have to be prepared and keep going.

Well done, Oliver. I’m proud of your hard work and perseverance. Enjoy your new independence, and stay safe! 🙌

🚗 BOOKING A DRIVING TEST DOESN’T MAKE YOU READY TO TAKE IT.

A booking confirmation means you have a date. Your driving needs to show you’re ready.

Before sitting your test, ask yourself:

✅ Can I drive safely without prompts?
✅ Are my observations consistent?
✅ Can I judge junctions, roundabouts and gaps independently?
✅ Can I manage an unfamiliar situation calmly?
✅ Is my instructor confident I’m ready?

If your instructor is still grabbing the wheel, using the dual controls or reminding you to check before changing position, there’s work to do.

“I might get lucky” is no preparation for driving independently. The examiner needs to see safe decisions throughout the drive.

Don’t be a wasteman with your preparation. 😂 Take the lessons seriously, listen to feedback and put the work in.

Speak to your instructor before booking, and agree on your readiness and use of the school car. A test booking doesn’t automatically secure it.

Turning up ready gives you the best opportunity to pass—and the confidence to drive safely afterwards.

🚗 Booked your driving test—but haven’t got an instructor?

We regularly receive enquiries asking for “just a few lessons” and the use of our car for an approaching test.

Please understand: driving instructors provide training. We are not a car hire service.

At Skill4Life Driver Training, our priority is the pupils already learning with us. Booking a test independently does not guarantee our availability or the use of our vehicle.

Before agreeing to provide a car for a test, we need to assess your driving, identify any areas that need work and establish that you can consistently drive safely and independently—without prompts or intervention.

That cannot be promised within an arbitrary number of lessons simply because your test date is approaching.

Some learners transferring from another instructor may already be close to the required standard. Others need considerably more preparation than they realise. Until we have assessed you, we cannot know.

We understand the pressure to pass quickly and the cost of learning. But taking a test is about demonstrating that you are ready to drive safely on your own. The consequences of inadequate preparation extend well beyond the price of a failed test.

Please speak to your instructor before booking a practical test. Agree a realistic plan, confirm their availability and obtain their agreement to use the training vehicle.

If you already have a test booked but no instructor, be prepared to move it if suitable training and a vehicle cannot be arranged.

A booked test is a deadline. It is not evidence that you are ready.
