We are looking for an experienced, fully qualified mechanic to join our busy workshop based in Brierley hill. This is a permanent, full-time position offering regular hours, and opportunities for ongoing training and development. You will work on a wide range of vehicles, carrying out all aspects of mechanical repair and maintenance, with a key focus on timing chain systems.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, remove, replace, and adjust timing chains, guides, tensioners, and associated components accurately and efficiently
Carry out full mechanical services, including engine repairs, clutch replacements, gearbox work, suspension and braking system overhauls.
Perform fault finding and diagnostics using modern equipment, and explain issues clearly to customers
Ensure all work meets industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and health & safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organised workshop and look after tools and equipment
Requirements

Fully qualified mechanic
Proven hands-on experience working with timing chain systems — this is an essential requirement
Strong knowledge of general vehicle mechanics
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Up-to-date knowledge of current vehicle technology and repair methods is desirable
