And Then, One Dayโฆ Itโs Gone. ๐ฅน๐๐ฅน
Iโve been a little quiet on here, and in real life, and thereโs a reason why.
The truth is, there comes a stage in every build where the outside world slowly disappears. Days blur into nights. Cups of tea go cold. Meals are forgotten. Emails pile up. Messages go unanswered. Time seems to lose all meaning. Every ounce of energy becomes consumed by a single thoughtโฆ
โIs Juno ready?โ
Itโs a strange kind of obsession. One where you notice things nobody else ever will. You spend an hour adjusting something that most people wouldnโt even realise existed. You test every system again, polish the same surface hundreds of times, stand back, walk awayโฆ then turn around because one tiny detail is still playing on your mind.
You tell yourself youโll post on Facebook tomorrow or reply to that message. But tomorrow becomes next week, and next week becomes next month.
Not because youโve disappeared, but because your entire world has become consumed by the enormous responsibility of handing over something that has consumed your life more than any other rolling home ever has since I started Supertramped back in 2017.
And then, one dayโฆ
Itโs gone.
Juno has now officially left the Supertramped workshop and has been safely delivered to her new home in the beautiful countryside of West Wales, arriving on Martyn and Kimโs doorstep aboard another immaculate Wheeler & Son Ltd Transport rig.
I travelled down to be there as she arrived, spending the entire day walking Martyn and Kim through every inch of their new rolling home. From the electrical and water systems to the storage, heating and the hundreds of little details that have quietly become part of Junoโs character over the years, it was a privilege to watch it all come to life through their eyes.
The handover couldnโt have gone any better. It was everything Iโd hoped it would be and more. Relaxed, emotional, full of laughter, hugs, sunshine, thoughtful gifts, wood-fired pizza, and those wonderful moments where you watch someone realise that this thing youโve spent so long building together is finally theirs.
And just like thatโฆ
Another chapter closes.
Thank you, Martyn and Kim, for trusting me with your dream. It has been the greatest privilege of my entire rolling home career so far.
With love,
Mr Supertramped.
