IMPORTANT NOTICE !!!!!

So not the post I ever thought I’d be posting / making but due to unforeseen circumstances I have made the very tough and heartbreaking decision to temporarily / possibly permanently close SK TUNING & REPAIRS LTD. The past 4 years have been an absolute blast and worked on so many cool cars and projects along with meeting very good customers and even new friends. I’ve enjoyed the journey but along the way there has been many ups but plenty of downs and at this current moment in time the downs out way the ups and it’s now affecting me personally,physically, emotionally and also mentally. I have a lot of love for the performance and modified car industry and it’s always been a passion for me not just a job. Unfortunately at this time it’s become more of a draining challenge and not enjoying any of it. Once again I’d like to personally thank everyone that has used us over the time we have been in business it’s been a blast and a honour. It’s not good bye forever I’m sure but this chapter is coming to a sad close. As from now with immediate effect we will not be taking on anymore customers vehicles or projects. We will end on a high revealing a few projects that are nearing completion in the coming weeks. All current customers vehicles will be completed prior to closure. Finally in the words of Jeremy Clarkson ‘ On that bombshell it's time to end goodnight ‘

Recently had the pleasure of working on this stunning & immaculate Vauxhall Adam s. We carried out a range of things as follows. Gearbox service for smoother gear changes, engine service to 100% oil quality, rear wiper blade also we replaced both rear shock absorbers due to them leaking and causing a knock when going over bumps. We also replaced a rear top mount due to it being worn. Upon inspection we found the brake fluid to be contaminated so we carried out a service and brought it up to factory specifications.after all this was carried out and we were happy we then fitted a forge turbo actuator and set it up correctly on our in house dyno we managed to get the turbo to come in sooner then factory and showed good base figures. Once all this was completed we helped fit a custom made resonator delete and exhaust valve. Perfect for show season and daily driving to. We carried out more dyno testing after and saw some improvements in midrange and final power and torque (dyno vid in next post).We will be developing a safe stage 1 map for the Adam s platform so stay tuned. This car has been a pleasure to work on and we look forward to seeing the progression over the coming months. Along with assisting in any way we can. Very easy to work on is a bonus to oh and our favourite feature has to be the heated recaro’s and steering wheel. Credit to Ella for keeping so clean he is spotless.

So after a very long weekend finally time to post about the crazy E46 drift car we got ready for castle Combe German action day. With only a few days to do everything the odds were stacked against us. we had to fit a brand new turbo custom make a down pipe fit new lines to the turbo along with fitting a new upgraded radiator we also had to map from scratch a ecu masters ecu that we fitted. Friday night it looked like we weren’t going to make it with so much to do but we worked hard in to the night along with doing a full custom map from scratch. With no sleep and a lot of energy drinks we Finally got her done at 4.30 in the morning we fitted stickers as it was just coming off the dyno and I still don’t know how we managed it but we did and boy did she do us proud jd_drifting put on a hell of a show at castlecombecircuituk for all the fans unfortunately we had clutch issues later on in the day but I couldn’t be happier. New clutch on order and ready to send it at the next event. Id personally like to thank On Boost Performance for the advise and help regarding the turbo and raw_exhausts for the incredible job on the down pipe and welding the fittings on to the radiator without you guys we wouldn’t have made it. Team work makes the dream work. Keep an eye out for us at coming events.

The other day we had this poorly R35 GTR dropped off to us we found that on a track day the customer burned a valve and caused a misfire whilst the engine was out we discussed options and we are now building the engine gearbox and other supporting mods for over 1000bhp we have a pair of our custom made turbos going on as well. this car is having a huge spec list thrown at her stay tuned for updates on this fire breathing monster 👿

We currently have this stunning mk4 supra in with us it came unfortunately as a non runner after some deep investigational work we found the ecu to be fried we replaced that along with the fuel pump and she fired right up just some minor service and maintenance bits to sort then she will be back on the road and back with a very happy customer.

We recently had this R32 GTR in with us as it wasn’t running quite right along with idle issues the customer also wanted a full vehicle health check carried out. We checked the car over and reported our findings this skyline was very clean and didn’t require much we sorted the issues above and returned it back to the customer who was happy to get his car back running and idling as it should.
