Over the years I've noticed my house has become more and more power hungry. Not because I'm a megalomaniac, but simply because the number of electrical appliances has grown exponentially, and now I really can't imagine life without my wifi, coffee maker, and Ninja Air Fryer. Mr M. is clearly a kindred spirit, because we have just handed over his Auto Explore RB complete with a power set up to rival a small sub station. We fitted a Lithium ion leisure battery with a whopping 460A/H and 3000 watt invertor that offers a constant 230V supply whether plugged into the mains or not. A free standing solar panel plugs conveniently into an outside socket for sunshine top ups. And what does one do with all that power - run the electric / diesel boiler, a nice big TV, top notch wifi, and should they be needed, multiple screens for reversing and CarPlay. Just watch out for the beacon of light on a Devon campsite near you.

I must confess to being one of those people who throughout life has looked at many things and thought "one day". Of course - as one gets a little older, one's desires tend to moderate, but then so do the opportunities for "one day" to become "the day". Mr W's favourite place to visit is a hotel in Chertsey, on the Thames, and they'd always been able to look out and see a line of motorhomes parked opposite, about which he always said to his wife, "one day..." Well today is that day and that will be the first place they go to try out there new Bailey Approach 625 in it's lovely blue livery - restored to perfection by workshop Andy with some new decals. Next time you're passing and think "one day" - do pop in!
