We paid a visit to a small banger racing track today to show face and support to Matt who has, without prompt decided to show his love for the cause by having our name painted on the side of his proven race MINI.

We often provide him any tired parts he needs to keep his MINI Cooper going through the gulag… great fun to watch and boy what a potent thing it is.

This beaten MINI is a testament to just how solid and reliable these things are.

This absolute neck breaker is back in our care following the sale to its current owner last year.

JUST 700 Miles has since passed as it was sat as part of a collection of 3 vehicles and used on a more special occasion.

Lots of fettling has been done in its limited mileage to further finesse what we had supplied.

I can’t stress how clean and tidy the underside is. It’s up there amongst the best as an unrestored floor.

We’re pleased to present for the first time a drop-top Cooper S in a very desirable colour with a fresh bill of health and then some.

The roof does operate but needs a little push up to start retracting however it closes perfectly fine on its own. The sunroof folding mode works perfectly both ways.
This example will be sold mechanically sound with some minor cosmetic marks as expected for its age, however it is very presentable underneath.

Nick is just one of those guys who’s just fully invested in us from the start. He rang us last week as a new customer asking for just a simple inspection of his late mother’s 2005 Cooper which she bought brand new and with good taste, heavily specced inside and out in the right colour with the optional BBS split rims….

At just 29k Miles… it had lately fallen into Nick’s care and yet in a state that wasn’t enjoyable to drive… the typically overlooked rubber suspension components is mainly what let it down.

Suspension top mounts, engine mounts, wishbone bushes etc… plus a whole host of other mechanical perishables that had just seen their time more with age than mileage.

Our report followed from a wheels up, over and under visual look over with forced hands-on action to see what was what.

The only critical things we advised were the front strut top mounts that were about to burst through and the brake discs and pads all round which were showing heavy corrosion and running dangerously thin… The remainder of what we mentioned were simply advisories to make the car a driving masterpiece… and sure enough, Nick wanted the car to drive the very best it could.

So the following was carried out….

• High quality front strut top mounts

• Brake discs and pads all round

• Brake fluid flush

• Polyurethane suspension arm bushes

• Poly anti roll bar bushes

• Upper hydro engine mount

• Inner and outer ball joints

• New lower suspension arms

• Anti roll bar drop links

• Engine sump gasket replacement

• Engine oil and filter

• Spark plug set

• Air con compressor and condenser

• Power steering fluid flush

• Air intake and cabin filters

• Coolant flush

• Complete cooling fan unit

• Genuine thermostat cap

• Aux belt

… and much more.

We finished the car off with an engine bay deep clean, interior valet, tyres pumped, screen wash fill up and new wiper blade set as a ‘thank you’ for the work.

The driving transformation will be unforgettable, coupling brand new components alongside a chassis and other hard wearables with just 30k miles… the experience is closer to driving a car that’s factory fresh unlike any experienced in the past.
