South Lincolnshire Region Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club

South Lincolnshire Region Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club A regional club for all enthusiasts of all Jaguar Cars, be they new, old, classics, or replicas

The South Lincolnshire is an official region of the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club and open to enthusiasts of all Jaguar Cars. The pub we normally meet in has closed and we are looking for a new venue. Activities and gatherings will be published on this page and on our web pages on the main JEC website.

Despite the less than photogenic weather, we had a fantastic Regional Trip away in Yorkshire, organised by Dave and Jan Andrews. Thank you for arranging our stay at the fantastic Aldwark Manor. As promised it was a great place with fantastic food and facilities and the vineyard visit was enjoyable too.

We had a great turn out for our Chairman's talk about Eric, his Suffolk SS100 Replica and the challenges he had building it in Belgium and the challenges he has had since he put the car on the road in 2012. If you have a story to tell or an interest you are passionate about why not speak at one of our meetings. All topics are welcome, we are more than a car club.

Last week it was our sad privilege to es**rt the hearse carrying our late secretary, Doreen Griffiths, to her funeral. Doreen and her husband John were part of a small team who restarted the Region about 25 years ago. John was the treasurer and Doreen was secretary, and both were active members of the Region until John passed away nearly 9 years ago. Doreen remained a member of the Region and loved dashing about in her V8 S type until it eventually succumbed to rust. Full of fun, wit and wisdom, Dor will be missed.

One of the joys of Jaguar ownership is driving in the company of others. Along with many other car clubs, our Region organises single day driving tours which use Tulip route books to ensure crews can easily find their way. Our next meeting on the 14th of April will show you how this system of navigation works.
